Later that day.

Nick leaves to work out. As he's leaving I ask if he was working out with Joey, he said no. Which gave me the perfect opportunity to call and confront him.

There were some things that needed some serious clearing up, and Joey might have been the only person to provide me with those answers.

Before Nick leaves, though. He tells me a small group of friends were going out on the water tonight and wanted to know if I'd like to join them.

I agree to go. Anywhere would be better than locked up in this house, horny as hell with nothing to do. Literally, nothing to do.

I wait a good twenty minutes before calling Joey.

"Is everything, alright?" His deep voice sounded concerned as he answered the phone.

"No, it's not. We need to talk." I tell him.

"What happened now?" He groans.

"You set up that whole pizza shop meeting with Mark?" I get straight to business.

He pauses for a long moment, probably wasn't expecting that to come from my mouth.

"Uhh.." He pauses again. "Did Nick tell you this?"

"Well, yeah. Since neither you or Mark thought it was important to tell me."

"It's not what he thinks, Lili." He roughly, says through the phone.

"What is it then? Why would you do something like that?"

"I was trying to get you guys back together. Neither of you wanted to talk to each other and you both were miserable as shit. I thought it was the only way.."

"Joey!" I quietly, yell his name into the phone. "That was not your place. Do you understand that?"

"Well, I mean..." He tries to talk, but I cut him off.

"—No! That's enough, Joey. You need to just let Nick and I live.. okay?"

"—But I caused the breakup." He says, quietly.

"No, you didn't.. what are you talking about?" My face frowns at his statement.

"I—I did something horrible." He breaths.

"We all did. We are moving on from it." I tell him, sternly. I was just ready to forget it all ever happened and I really wished both of them would just do the damn same.

"So, you guys are ok, then?" He asks.

"We are fine." I lie. "Actually..." I stall a bit. Nick and I's sex life was none of his business, but if anyone knew Nick... it'd be Joey.

"What?"

"He um.." I swallow hard. "He won't fuck me, and I think it's because of you.."

Joey laughs in a hearty manner. "You guys haven't done the dirty yet? Are you serious?"

"It's not a joke." I grumble. "I really thinks he thinks you're still in love with me or something." I openly, tell him.
