The next morning.I was thankful, Mark gave me today off, because I was feeling extremely, exhausted from the past few days.
Nick and I had just finished eating breakfast when there was a knock on his door.
"It's fine." He reassures me with a soft nod.
He opens the door and in walks his dad and Joey.
It wasn't fine..
And the only thing I was currently wearing were some panties a big t-shirt of Nicks.
Joey glances at me for a moment. His eyes moving down the shirt until they reached my exposed lower thighs, then he stopped. Taking them back away from me and onto Nick.
He better.
"How are you doing, son?" John asks, Nick. Ignoring my presence in the room, momentarily.
"I'm alright." Nick says, taking his eyes away from his dads to look back at me and my appearance. "Lili and I were just about to do something, though. So, it's not a great time."
We were? I ask myself. I try not to look at him in a suspicious manner, because I'm pretty sure, he was lying.
"Oh." John, looks at me finally. "Okay, we can talk another time."
Joey doesn't say a single word while he was inside the house. And after they leave I playfully smile at Nick..
"We don't need to do anything, do we?" I question him.
"Yeah, actually, we do." He smiles and leans himself against the kitchen counter. He clears his throat for a moment. "So, this morning while you were still sleeping I pulled some strings." He says.
"What type of strings?" I keep my playful tone.
"I—I uh..." He laughs. Was he nervous? "I got us a room at a resort for the rest of the week." He finally, says.
"A resort?" I wasn't expecting him to say that. "I have work tomorrow, and Mark already told me I couldn't miss any more days of work." I protest, and he knew that.
"Yeah, well." He flashes an even bigger smile. "I took care of it."
"Took care of it?" I question him. "Took care of it how?"
"I hired someone to fill your spot for the week." He says, his face softly, examining my reaction.
"You didn't..." I can't help myself from smiling.
"I did." He nods. "—And Mark agreed. You deserve a little vacation." His smile grows as I run to him and he pulls me up and around his waist.
"Nick, you didn't have to do this." I tell him before giving him a deep kiss on the lips.
"I think we both need the space and time away from everyone and everything. I want to spend time with you, completely alone and unbothered." He tells me as he returns a kiss back into my lips. "Does that sound good?" He asks.
"That sounds amazing." I tell him.
"Okay, let's go get your clothes." He says.
