Later that night. My stomach was filled to the brim with nerves as I make my way up to Joeys front door. Nick didn't really give me an exact plan to follow, so I was basically winging it for now.
I just hoped whatever the plan was.. that it worked.
I wore my white silky bathing suit and some cut off Levi shorts. I also, pulled my hair into a high tight ponytail.. just in case I needed to fight Kayla.
After knocking on the door, Joey answers within seconds. "Lili!" He says, happily. He wraps his arms around me and gives me a tight squeeze. "I feel like I haven't seen you in forever." He adds, as he lets go of me and examines my face. The look he had in his eyes led me to believe I had the power to hypnotize this man.
I smile up at him and giggle. "It's only been a week."
He gives me another hug, but this time he presses his lips to my ear and whispers. "She's here. Let's give her and Nick some space, alright? Don't worry, we have a plan. Just go with it."
I nod in agreement.
Once I enter the house I don't see her inside, but Joey walks me out through the back and onto the dock and that's when I catch sight of her and Nick who we're already onboard the boat. I was not looking forward to seeing the two of them together again, but I had to keep in mind this was all for show.
As Joey and I get closer to the boat Kayla realizes my presence and she did not look happy about it..
"Ew, who invited you?" She asks, staring me down. She momentarily turns around to glare at Nick. "I thought you were done with her?"
"Joey invited her. Can we just try to have a good night, please?" His voice was gruff and he seemed already irritated.
She starts walking towards me as I place my hand on the side of the boat to get in. As I do this she moves forward closer and steps hard on my fingers.
"Ow, you bitch!" I howl. "What the hell?" I stare at her with derangement.
"I'm sorry." She laughs in an annoying tone. "It was an accident."
"What happened?" Nick asks, in concern. He steps forward from behind her.
"I just accidentally, stepped on her hand. Jeesh, it's not a big deal." She quickly, replies.
I look up at Nick. "It's fine." I breath. "I'm fine."
This was going to be a hard long night of not trying to commit murder.
Nick turns back to Kayla. "Hey, you brought your laptop, so that we can watch a movie, right?" He asks.
That's when I started catching on. The boys had created a way better plan than what I could have imagined. I could only assume her electronics were about to be at the bottom of the waterfront.
"Yeah." She answers in a frustration. "I told you five times already, I have it."
"Okay, good. You guys ready?" Nick looks between the three of us.
I take a seat at the back of the boat beside Joey, while Nick and Kayla stay at the front as Nick pilots the boat.
I lean back on my elbows and look at Joey to my side. "This is going to be great." I smirk at him.
