The Last Ones part 2 | A Twisted Rainbow Aftermath

Chapter 30

The Great One woke up the next morning. They all had fallen asleep out in the field. The Great One slowly sat up. He looked around the forest. He sighed and stood up. He leaned against a tree waiting for the others to wake up. But then he noticed something. The Great One looked up at his horn and saw that a butterfly was sitting on his horn. It flew off of it a second later. The Great One held up his hand and the butterfly flew down landing on his hand. The Great One stared at it shocked. The butterfly just stood there. It had blue wings. The Great One just stared at it. He looked at it closer. "Where did you come from?" He asks. The butterfly just looked at him. The Great One kind of liked the color on its wings. Which was surprising as he never liked any colors. The Great One looked around at his surroundings for a moment then looked back at the butterfly. "W-Was i just blinded then?" He asks himself. The Great One sighed sadly. He looked away from the butterfly. The butterfly then flew off. The Great One sat down against the tree thinking about his past. Twisted Rainbow then woke up. He looked over at The Great One. "Great One?" He says. The Great One looks over at him. He sighs and looks away. Twisted Rainbow got up. "What are you doing?" He asks. The Great One sighs deeply. "Looking at the sunrise, Twisted Rainbow." He says. Twisted Rainbow walked over to him. "Not very cloudy today huh?" He says. The Great One nods. Twisted Rainbow sat down beside him. "You look stressed, are you alright?" He asks. The Great One looked down. "I'm fine Twisted. It's just been rough the past few days with The First Curse and all." He says. Twisted Rainbow nods. "I understand. It has been hard the past couple days. He really got to you, huh?" He asks. The Great One sighs and nods. Twisted Rainbow looks down. He sighs. "I know the twisted and the darkness were never on good terms but it's best we stay together as a team." He says. The Great One looks at him. "What do you mean?" He asks. Twisted Rainbow sighed again. "Look," He stands up, "I understand that we always would fight each other as well, we both wanted control but since, there's a much bigger problem than what we used to be. We can't fight anymore. Usually wars have no winners." He says. The Great One stands up as well. "What do you mean?" He asks. "What I mean is, the darkness and the twisted have been fighting for a long time now. But now that we have a bigger problem and that we all are the last ones alive from that other world. We can't fight anymore after The First Curse is defeated. We have to stay as a team in order to keep ourselves and this world safe. If we don't, everyone is going to die. Including us." Twisted Rainbow says. The Great One sighs. "I have been fighting all my life." He says. Twisted Rainbow sighs. "I know. But after The First Curse is defeated, we won't have to fight anymore." He says. The Great One looks down. "I don't know." He says.  Twisted Rainbow looks up at him. "We have to try." He says. The Great One looks at him and nods.

The Great One and Twisted Rainbow walk over to the others. They were still asleep. "Guys! Wake up!" Twisted Rainbow exclaims. They all woke up. Hypno sat up. Shadow and M did as well. Assistant sat up too. He looked confused. "Jeez Twisted. You didn't have to shout that." Hypno says. "Sorry. But get up, we got to move." Twisted Rainbow says. Shadow groans and grabs his side. M looks at him. He touches his shoulder. Shadow looks at him. M signs something. "I'm fine M." Shadow says not wanting to admit his hip was broken. The Great One walked over. "Shadow, I can tell something is wrong." He says kneeling down on front of him. "Da- Great One, I'm fine." Shadow says.  The Great One frowns. "Shadow..." He says. "I said I'm fine!" Shadow yells standing up. He cries out in pain. They all look at him confused. Shadow falls forward and lands on his knees. The Great One stared at him concerned. Shadow cries out in pain again. The Great One grabs Shadow's hand pulling it away from his hip. The Great One touched his hip. Shadow cried out in pain again. He pushed The Great One away. "Stop!" He exclaims. "What happened Shadow?" The Great One asks. "I'm fine Great One!" Shadow shouts. "Your hip is broken Shadow." The Great One says. Shadow groans. "Shadow, what happened?" Twisted Rainbow asks. Shadow looks down. "I fell out of a tree in one of the worlds we visited in the multiverse. I was trying to catch Sonny and I fell on my side I think." He says. The Great One sighs. He grabs Shadow and lifts him up. Shadow gasps. "Great One! What are you-" The Great One looks at him. Shadow stopped talking. He knew what would happen if he didn't. "Come on." The Great One says. They all began walking back to the village.
