Chapter 48

Shadow slowly came to and looked up. He noticed that he had been moved. He looked around and gasped at what he saw. Twisted Rainbow, Hypno, M, The Great One and Assistant Steve were all there too. Shadow noticed they were in a cell. He tried to move but then realized he was chained to the wall by his arm. He saw the others were also chained too. Shadow tried to pull away from the chain but then he saw it was glowing purple. He looked around at the others. The Great One moved slightly then he woke up too. Shadow looked at him. The Great One looked at him. "Shadow!" He exclaimed. He tried to rush over to him but he was held back by his chain. The Great One pulled against the chain. It wouldn't break though. Shadow stared at him sadly. The Great One sighed. "Shadow! What happened?" He asked. "We all ended up passing out." Shadow says. The Great One looked down. Shadow sighed. Twisted Rainbow then woke up finally. He slowly looked up. "Ow." he said. Shadow looked at him. Twisted Rainbow looked up. "Shadow?" He says. He tried to move but there was a chain holding him back too. "What the hell?" He says. The Great One looked at the others. "Guys! Wake up!" He shouts. M, Hypno and Assistant Steve wake up then. "What just happened?" Hypno asks rubbing his head. The Great One shrugs. Hypno tried to pull away but the chain held him back. Shadow sighed. "We all passed out and were moved here." He says. "I can't get this chain off. None of us can. What do we do now?" Hypno asks. Shadow sighed. "I don't know." He says. The Great One tried to pull free again but couldn't. He looked down sadly. The Great One sighed heavily and looked away. "Well I guess we have to find another way to escape." He says. "How are we going to get out of here?" Hypno says, "These chains are too strong." Shadow looks around at them all. He sighed and sat back. "We'll just have to wait until one of us has a plan." He says. They all looked down.

A long moment of silence fell between them. They all were lost in their own thoughts. Twisted Rainbow looked at Shadow. "Shadow, I don't think any of us have seen your eyes." He says. Shadow sighed. "I never wanted anyone to see them. I can't believe The First Curse did that." He says. "I'm sorry Shadow." Hypno says. Shadow stares at the ground. "There's just been a lot happening. I wish none of this ever happened. I just wish everything would be normal now." He says. Twisted Rainbow sighs. "I mean, nothing is normal anymore. Like it ever has been." He says. He chuckles a bit. "But normal is boring honestly. Are any of us really normal?" He asks. They all looked at each other. "I guess not." Shadow says. "Look, I know that it's been rough these past several days. But I'm glad we're all still alive." Twisted Rainbow says. "Twisted, we're half alive." Hypno says. Twisted Rainbow sighs. "I know. But still. We are all still here. We have to be grateful that we're all still alive in general. We may not be fully alive but we should be happy that we all are still here. Thanks to Lucian. If we were all dead still, then well..." He trailed off. The others looked down. Shadow sighed. "Twisted is right. We all should be grateful that we are still alive. Even though we are trapped, we all still have each other's backs and we always will. No matter what. We came here together so we will stick together always. We're all friends now anyway." He says. The others nod and smiled. "Alright. There has got to be a way to get out of here." Hypno says. "Hang on. We all have some of Lucian's power, right?" Shadow asks. They all nod. "Okay. I have an idea. We might get hurt while doing it but I'm sure we can get free." Shadow says. He stood up. The others stood up too. Shadow sighed and tried to get closer to the others but the chain held him back. He looked down. "We all need to use our powers together." He says. "Would that be a good idea?" The Great One asks. "If it's the only way, yes." Shadow says. Twisted Rainbow sighs. "Let's do it then." He says. They all held their hands up. Magic formed around all of their hands. Their powers all charged towards the center of the room and hit each other. They all screamed as the electricity shot through them causing the metal to glow and then explode into pieces. Shadow fell to the ground stunned. His vision blurred. He started hearing his own heartbeat. Something then flashed on his vision. Shadow gasps. The others surrounded him. "Shadow, are you okay?" Hypno asks. Shadow groaned and sat up. "I'm fine." He says. The Great One helped Shadow up. Shadow sighed. "Alright. Let's go guys. There's no time to lose now." He says. They all nod. They rush out of the room.
