Chapter 50

TW: Swear warning!

M lead Shadow to another area. Shadow gasps. "Oh thank God Steve!" He exclaims. Twisted Rainbow, Hypno, The Great One and Assistant were all there. "Shadow! Are you alright?" Hypno asks. Shadow nods. "I'm okay." He says. M nods. The Great One sighs. "Alright. We got to find Aiden and get out of here." He says. Shadow nods. "Right. But I don't know where we were sent now. I don't think Sabre sent us too far from where we just were. We should be able to find Aiden easily then we all got to look for a way out." He says. Twisted Rainbow sighs. "Let's hope it doesn't take us long." He says. Shadow sighs. But then something appeared behind him. The Great One looks up and gasps. "What's that?" He asks. Shadow turned around and gasped. The thing walked off. "What was that?" Shadow asks. "Follow it." Hypno says. They all followed it.

They turned a corner and saw Lucian. "Lucian?" Shadow says. Lucian didn't turn around. He looked really upset. "Lucian? What are you doing?" Hypno asks. Lucian growled. "Lucian, are you okay?" Shadow asks. Lucian roared out in anger. "AHH! FUCK! I'M DONE WITH HIDING THIS!" He screams. The Last Ones stared at him confused. Lucian turned around to look at them. "I've been lying to you guys! The person who I say I am is all a lie! I am not A FUCKING STEVE! In fact, I never was!" He shouts. "What?" Twisted Rainbow asks. "I only look like one because I can disguise myself as any Steve!" Lucian shouts. "Lucian, who are you?" Shadow asks. Lucian stared at them. "Remember when I said I'm a multiverse watcher? Well, a multiverse watcher isn't a Steve at all! Not all the worlds in the multiverse are full of Steves! There are more multiverse watchers than just me. Many more. A Multiverse Watcher isn't a Steve. They are an entirely different species! I am... A god. The most powerful being in the entire multiverse. Well me and the other multiverse watchers. We aren't the ones who create the worlds but we are the ones who keep them in control. We are allowed to interfere but not as much as we wish we could. It's a rule that we keep ourselves hidden from having our real identity shown. So we disguise ourselves as Steves or any other creature. Any species that keeps ourselves protected. But I've always had a problem with hiding myself." He explained. He pointed to his different colored eye. "But it did seem to hide myself for a while... Until now. I had to reveal myself soon anyway." He says. Shadow and the others looked shocked. Lucian sighed. "I couldn't keep this hidden for very long. Multiverse Watchers do have a choice to enter a world of their choice and live in it. But it's rare to do so and they must always have a disguise. After I saved you all, I resided in this world from now on.  You're my family now after all." He explains. He looks at them. "I will not allow anyone to hurt you anymore." He tells them sternly. The Last Ones looked shocked. "This whole time, you were a god, Lucian?" Shadow asks. Lucian looked down and nods. "A multiverse watcher is a god. Multiverse Watchers can be chosen and they can summon Multiverse Guardians, a type of creature who guards the worlds in the multiverse. We've had to summon them several times for The First Curse and Sabre but they've always managed to get past them. Our true creator is unknown. All we know is that they created us to watch the multiverse they created." He says. "Oh my..." Hypno says. Lucian sighed. "I know I'm going to be in big trouble for revealing this but I'm close to the end of my line soon anyway so I thought now would be the time to share this." He says. Shadow gasps. "Wait wait wait. Back up. You said you were close to the end of your line?" He asks. Lucian sighs. "I don't have much time left to live. I am old and at the end of my time soon. But, I will have enough time to help you stop The First Curse. The end of this all is near." He says. He puts his hand up and teleports The Last Ones away.
