A/N: Short Chapter this time
Perrin, Friede and the kids trek up Tengu Mountain on the search for Kleavor. Searching for nearly two hours now. "So, where exactly did you see Kleavor?" Friede asked, getting a bit impatient due to all the walking.
"Oh, I don't actually know. When I took the picture, it started to attack me. So I ran." Perrin said casually, making the four kids groan. Their legs growing increasingly tired minute by minute. Still, they pushed on, not letting their aching legs stop them from gaining another of the Six Heroes.
Perrin eyes Liko, Roy and Dot concerned, leaning in to whisper to Friede, "Is it really safe to bring children this young? I understand Ash, being the World Monarch and all, but the other three? Isn't that a bit dangerous?"
Friede chuckles, understanding Perrin's concern. "Believe me, those three are growing stronger everyday, and can handle themselves just fine. Though Ash likes to stick with them, so no matter what, they'll be okay." Earning a nod of understanding from Perrin
The group stop at a rocky clearing, Crocalure, unable to contain his every-growing hunger, reachers for a berry growing on a nearby bush. Not noticing the ground around him start to crumble and crack. Roy does, however and dives in to try and save his partner, only for them to fall into a sinkhole, trapping them in a fissure.
"Roy! Are you okay?" Liko asks in fear.
"Yeah! Yeah! I'm fine!" Roy replied, his voice echoing from below. "I don't think we can get back up though, you guys keep going! I'll find another way and catch up!"
The group continue on into the forest, only to be surronded by a pack of Houndoom and young Houndour. Friede and Ash share a look, it's Champion Time! Friede sends out Cap and Charizard while Ash sends out Pikachu and Tauros. They fight off the pack, with some help from Liko and Floragato. Letting Perrin and Dot go on ahead. Liko and Florgato get chased into another part of the forest by the Houndour they were battling.
Ash and Friede focus on their battle, Tauros holding his own against Pokemon its own type. Suddenly, Tauros's red markings turn blue, and its mane shifts downward. Catching Ash and Friede's eye. Tauros unleases a wave of water, washing away all the attacking Pokemon. Ash and Friede know the move as Surf, but how?!
"What.. Just happened?" Ash blanky asked. Friede quickly came to a conclusion, one he himself can't believe. "I think, Tauros just switched from a Blaze Breed, to an Aqua Breed..." Tauros falls asleep, it's mane turning dull, the blue marks fadding. "And now its a Combat Breed." Friede mused. Ash decides now's not the time to investigate his Paldean Tauros and simply returns it to its Poke Ball. Ash and Friede ride atop Charizard and fly off in search of the others.
Ash and Friede land in a spot of forest containing trees and rocks scarred with slash marks. Liko and the others already there. Friede sees Liko, Roy and Dot, and can't help but feel proud. Ash feels proud for his
"You see, Perrin?" Friede asked, approaching Perrin, "The kids forged their own paths when we got seperated, and we all ended up in the same place. They're more than capable to be here." Perrin nods in agreement.
Terapagos sees Kleavor spying on the group, the little creature being the only one to spot it. Terapagos calls to it, only for Kleavor to run away.
