What If Ash was in Pokemon Horizons?

The Final Battle Is Near

The Brave Olivine approaches Mount Pericap, the Rising Volt Tacklers and their allies sit in the meeting room for one last meeting. Friede stands at the head of the table, "Alright, one last time. Let's go over the plan: Boys fly to the sky to distract the Explorers, girls will head to the center of Laqua by foot."

"Amethio, Silver, the Six Heroes and everyone else should meet us there." Ash added.

"And we all remember who to protect, right?" Friede asked.

"The 18 Pokemon and Ash." Everyone recited.

"Ahs, you remember to backup plan, right?" Friede asked.

Ash nodded, "Ludlow, Orla, Murdock and Mollie will hide in Laqua's forests with Wy-Yes and Perrin. If one of the 18 Pokemon go down, Murdock and Orla will distract the Explorers so Perrin can take photos to show the public the true Explorers while Ludlow and Mollie get me back to the Brave Olivine so I can get signal on my Rotom Phone." Ash recited, "That way I can transfer in a Pokemon to replace the Tera type that went down."

"But that's only for emergencies." Dot added, "We don't know how many times Ash can do that before the Explorers find a way to stop him. So until we can power up Pagogo, use your other Pokemon as much as you can." 

The Brave Olivine finally docks at Laqua, everyone steps out as Pagogo sends a beacon into the sky to attract the Six Heroes. Roy, Ult, Friede and Ash take to the sky as Ludlow, Murdock, Orla and Mollie rush into the woods.

The women walk through the pathways of Laqua on foot, headed for the center. "So, this was a Pokemon paradise?" Korrina asked.

Liko nodded, "The Explorers must've scared all the Pokemon away."

The group are hit by a sudden barrage of Dark Pulses, which Diana's Arcanine and Cap intercept to protect the trainers. "We can't let anything harm Pagogo," Diana said.

"Then you guys go on ahead, we'll find out what's here and hold 'em off!" Nemona exclaimed, "Man, I've been itching for a battle!"

Liko, Diana, Ann and Cap get on Arcanine and ride off further down the pathway while Nemona, Dot, Penny and Korrina stay behind. The four girls send out Decidueye, Gholdengo, Jolteon and Mienshao. The Pokemon attack the bushes from where the Dark Pulses came from, revealing three Cofagrigus and three Runerigus.

Nemona smirked, "So there's the culprit! Use Spirit Shackle!"

"Thunderbolt!"

"Drain Punch!"

Dot's eyes widened, "Wait guys, we would the only Pokemon in Laqua try to attack us without some sort of trap?"

The attacks strike nonetheless, knocking out a Cofagrigus and Runerigus each. though a purple aura surronds the three Pokemon that attacked and knocks them out. "What was that?!" Penny was astonished.

"Destiny Bond." A voice from the forest said with confidence, Indi and Rubina revealing themselves.

Korrina, Nemona and Penny recall their Pokemon. "Okay, that was just dirty!" Nemona exclaimed.

Nemona, Penny and Korrina send out Ribombee, Vaporeon and Lucario to stand beside Gholdengo. Indi and Rubina stand behind the remaining two Cofagrigus and two Runerigus. "Destiny Bond."

The four Pokemon are surronded by a purple aura once more, forcing the trainers to hold off from attacking.

Indi smirked, "Hesitation won't allow you victory, use Curse."

"And don't even think about using another Pokemon," Rubina taunted, "Mean Look."

One of the Runerigus glares at its opponents, its eyes glowing red and preventing the opposing Pokemon to be recalled. Indi and Rubina finish their preparation by spraying the four Pokemon with their Strong Spheres.
