"Why are you guys even here?!" Liko asks, anger igniting in her eyes.
Coral cackled, "We've been watching this place for years! We just couldn't get far with that barrier. Thanks for your help with that, by the way." She taunted, horrified that she helped the enemy.
"Oh, wow that's smart!" James complimented, "We just heard from-" He began before Jessie elbows him.
"Don't tell them that!" She scolded her teammate, "We're supposed to be the better team!"
"The better team is our team!" Ash barked, "Especially when we take you down!"
Ash, Chloe and Tracey take on Team Rocket's Meowth, Spidops and Capsakid while Liko, Roy and Dot take on the Explorers. Scyther spares with Spidops, while Mewoth easily tanks a Thunderbolt. Much to Ash's shock.
"Surprised, twerp?" Meowth taunted, "We've been blasted off too many times for that to work now!"
Eevee charges toward Capsakid with Headbutt, only for it to dodge and hit Eevee with Bullet Seed. Then lands on top of her to land a Bite, burning Eevee thanks to Capsakid's tooth. Scyther lands Cut and Slash repeatedly, but loses energy due to its age. While Spidops uses Silk Trap, slowing Scyther down. Spidops then uses its webbing to trip Scyther and trap it. Pikachu uses Iron Tail to free it, allowing Spidops to hit him with Bug Bite. While Eevee attacks Capsakid with Copycat, sending Bullet Seed back at the Spicy Pepper Pokémon. Eevee goes in for another Tackle, but stops as Burn kicks in. Allowing Capsakid to knock her out with a powerful combination of Razor Leaf and Bite. Ash watches in shock as Chloe returns Eevee to her Poke Ball, looking over and seeing that Liko, Roy and Dot are struggling as well.
"Ha! What're you gonna do now that you're without a Pokemon, twerpette?" Jessie taunted, whilst Spidops ties Scyther's blades together and Meowth tanks another Thunderbolt from Pikachu.
"Bold of you to assume Eevee's my only Pokemon." Chloe replied, pulling out another Poke Ball. Perking Ash's interest as Chloe sends out a bright yellow and green Pokemon, featuring white paws and a long tail.
"Who's that Pokemon?" Ash wondered, pulling out his Rotom Phone.
Rotom quickly scans the Pokemon, "Boltund, the Dog Pokemon and the evolved form of Yamper. An Electric Type, It sends electricity through its legs to boost their strength. Running at top speed, it easily breaks fifty miles per hour."
"The evolved form of Yamper?!" Ash realized, looking to Chloe, "Does that mean.."
"Yep." Chloe replied confidently, "Yamper's all grown up! Play Rough, Boltund! Now!"
Boltund obeys, hitting Capsakid hard, sending it flying to James's feet. Capsakid looks into his trainer's eyes and begins to glow, not willing to give up the fight just because the other Pokemon's bigger. Becoming taller and gaining an extra head, one that's fully red.
"What Pokemon is that?" Tracey wondered, sketching it instantly, while Ash's Rotom phone gets to work scanning it.
"Scovillain, the Spicy Pepper Pokémon and the evolved form of Capsakid. A Fire and Grass Type, The red head converts spicy chemicals into fire energy and blasts the surrounding area with a super spicy stream of flame. The green head has turned vicious due to the spicy chemicals stimulating its brain. Once it goes on a rampage, there is no stopping it." Rotom generated.
"Capsakid evolved just to win the fight for me!" James cried, happy tears prickling in his eyes, causing Jessie to bop him on the head.
Scovillain's red head bites down on Boltund's body, its teeth bursting into flames. "Woah, that ain't not Bite, that's a full-on Fire Fang!" Meowth had commented. Scovillain's grip is strng, too strong for Boltund to get away. While the green head pellets him with Razor Leaf and Bullet Seed.
Seeing this, Ash huddles with Chloe and Tarcey to create a plan. Surprising Team Rocket as Tracey has Scyther go behind Meowth and pin him down with its blades. While Pikachu traps Spidops with Electroweb. Boltund uses its hind legs to kick Scovillain off its body, Scovillain rushes in to use Fire Fang again, only for Boltund to dodge and hit it with Play Rough, sending it flying toward Spidops where the Fire Fang lands, knocking out Spidops in an instant due to Spidop's Fire weakness.
The three kids high five at the victory, Ash looks over and sees Floragato and Crocalor knock out Garganacl and Scream Tail, even Dot's Quaxwell knocks Chalace's Medicham off its feet. Impressing Ash at how far his friends have come. Jessie and Coral are enraged at their losses, sending out Wobbuffet and Glalie to continue the battle, only for everyone to stop in their tracks as the ground beneath them begins to shake.
"Is there an earthquake?" Tracey wondered aloud, everyone gets their answer as they see a pillar made purely of pink smoke shooting out to the sky from a faraway distance.
"What the heck is that?!" Chloe exclaimed, freaking out over what she's seeing whislt Tracey draws a sketch for Professor Oak.
Pagogo looks up to the smoke and growls, Liko notices his behavoir and quickly comes to a realization. "It's the Laquium..." She whispers, though everyone hears her. Horrifying the Rising Volt Tackler, Tracey and Chloe. Delighting the Explorers, and confusing Team Rocket.
A/N: I do apologize if this chapter feels short. I wanted to focus more on the Team Rocket fight since the Explorer battle would be unchanged from the actual episode, and I was starting to run out of ideas. I do have more ideas for the next chapter, I'm really excited to write that one so stay tuned!
