What If Ash was in Pokemon Horizons?

Mega Evolution - Roy

A/N: Yes, I have decided to cover the Mega Evoultion episodes, I have a few ideas on how to adapt these three, so hope you stick around!

Pikachu and Cap clash on the battlefield of the Brave Olivine, Ash and Roy commanding attacks constantly. The two Pikachus eventually stand in place, staring at each other whilst panting.

"Arlight, I think that's enough training for today." Roy said.

"Time for a break, buddy!" Ash scooped his partner up.

Uruto, Liko and Dot entered the dock, "Aw, did you gusy have another training battle without me?!" Uruto whined.

Roy chuckled, "Sorry Uruto, we get too fired up to get anyone else."

"So, how far from Blueberry Academy are we?" Ash asked.

"Uncle Murdock says we should be flying for only another day." Dot replied.

The group stood in slience for a moment, "Well I'm bored," Ash said, "What should we do?"

Liko perk up, an idea comming to her mind, "Hey Roy? You never told us how Lumiose City was like, why not do it now?"

"Really?" Roy asked, "You guys wanna know about thar?"

"Well yeah, you never told us how you got your Key Stone, or how you and Uruto met."

"Or how you caught that sweet Lucario!" Ash added.

Roy chuckled and sat down, the others sitting beside him to form a little circle. "Well, it started not too long after we split up. Grandpa noticed how off I was and said I should travel the world, he bought me a ticket to the first flight available to..."

"Lumiose City..." A younger Roy looked at the atmosphere in awe, Cap stared at the scenery from his shoulder. Roy began walking towards the Prism Tower, a good place to start figuring out what to do in his new region.

"I wanted to have fun, but all I could think about was Friede. I think Cap was thinking about him too." Roy recounted.

Roy looked down to his feet, unable to think clearly, the only thing he could see was Friede and Charizard falling from the ship. Eventually he reached the base of the Prism Tower, spotting a sign describing the Gym Leader.

"Maybe I could challenge him." Roy thought outloud, releasing Crocalor. "Alright buddy, ready for a real Gym Battle?"

"Crocalor!"

"Woah, you battled Clemont?" Ash asked.

"I was, until someone stopped me." Roy replied.

Uruto sighed.

Roy excitedly ran to the front gates, only to crash into someone else. Both boys fell to the ground, "Hey, what was that for?!" The boy demanded.

Roy's eyes met the boy's. Seeing a short boy with green hair, a spiteful frown and a Sableye glare down at him. Roy's face hardens, "It was an accident!" He exclaimed impulsively.

"And we argued and argued..." Roy recalled.

"Still think it's your fault." Uruto said.

"You really still mad about that?!" Roy exclaimed.

"Wow, hated each other from the start..." Dot murmured as the boys argued again.

"Anyway, after arguing and somehow getting our names out, we saw something amazing..." Rou continued.

Roy and Uruto walked towards the sudden noise nearby, spotting two trainers battling with a Slowbro and Gardevoir, the trainers tap their respective Key Stones. The Pokemon transform, getting a boost in strength and providing a more entertaining battle for the crowd.
