Everyone at the Academy watch in excitement as Ash and Dot enter the battlefield, Penny had told everyone how the four of them had stopped the Explorers.
Ash looked to Dot, gaining an idea, "Say Dot, how bout we give everyone a good show with a double battle?"
Dot raised an eyebrow in confusion, "A what battle?"
"Y'know! A double battle! Where two pokemon from a trainer take the field at the same time! It'll make us stand out!" Ash exclaimed, "I'm sure the Academy staff wouldn't mind!"
Dot shrugged "Uh, sure."
Ash sends out Dipplin and his Quaxwell, Dot sends out Tinkatink and her own Quaxwell. The Quaxwells immediately target each other, their rivalry on full display as they attack and dodge each other's attack. Dipplin uses Syrup Bomb to slow Tinkatink down, Dot calls for a Slam, but Tinkatink hesitates, Dipplin sees this as an opening and uses Rollout to land a direct hit.
"Tinkatink, why didn't you attack?" Dot asked her Pokemon.
Tinkatink gestured towards Dipplin with teary eyes, "You don't wanna hurt your friend?" Dot interperted.
Ash noticed the conversation and shouted "We're just having fun, Tinkatink! Nothing to worry about!"
Dipplin feels bad for Tinkatink and starts to cheer in hopes to give her some encouragement. "There you go, Dipplin! Cheer your friend on!"
"It's not just any cheer! That's Dragon Cheer!" Nemona called from the stands.
"What?" Ash turned to her for clarification.
"It's a whole new move!" Nemona explained.
Sure enough, Dipplin starts to shine with a yellow glow, having learned Dragon Cheer. Calming Tinkatink down and helping her see this battle's just for fun. Tinkatink jumps up to use Slam to restart their battle, but Dipplin starts to glow and gains a larger apple body once the glow settles. As well as a more serpent-like head. Multiple serpent-like heads expose themselves out of the apple body. Ash pulls out his Rotom Phone and scans his new Pokemon for the Pokedex.
"Hydrapple, the Apple Hydra Pokémon. A Grass and Dragon type and the evolved form of Dipplin. Seven syrpents live inside an apple made of syrup. The syrpent in the center is the commander. On the rare occasion that their moods align, their true power is unleashed."
"Oh, that is so cool!" Ash beamed.
Ash and Dot resume their battle, Hydrapple and Tinkatink clash, as does the two Quaxwells. Tinkatink sneaks up on Hydrapple and uses Brutal Swing, but Hydrapple suddenly hits Tinkatink directly with a strange yellow beam and hits Tinkatink directly, causing ehr to faint.
"What move was that?" Ash asked.
"Fickle Beam!" Nemona exclaimed so that Ash could hear.
Dot's Quaxwell attacks Hydrapple with a Low Kick, knocking it out. Ash and Dot recall their Pokemon, leaving the two Quaxwells left on the field.
"Looks like it's just a mirror match." Dot observed.
"Yeah! Then let's go all out and give everyone a finale they deserve!"
Dot smirked in response, the trainers pull out their Tera Orbs and Terastallize their Quaxwells into Tera-Water Types. The crowd goes wild as the two Practicing Pokémon go head to head using every move they know, dodging with their quick feet and dancing skills. They eventually tire each other out,
"Low Kick!" Ash and Dot yelled in unison.
The Quaxwells aim their leg at the other, then suddenly Ash's Quaxwell strikes with its knee instead of its foot.
