What If Ash was in Pokemon Horizons?

Liko and Hattrem, Bonded by Happiness!

A new day dawned over Blueberry Academy. Ash enters the main hall, Rotom Phone in hand, yawning.

"Morning everyone, Iris is off doing some Champion duties, so looks like-"

Ash looked up from his phone to see only Liko, Ann and their Pokemon are present. "Oh, did Roy, Ult and Dot already go?"

"Yep, you're stuck with us again." Liko giggled.

Ash spotted Liko's Pokemon, seeing Hattrem watch as Charcadet ate from her bowl while Liko pets Meowscarada. "Where's Pagogo?" He asks.

"I let Miss Briar and Carmine borrow him.: Liko explained. "Miss Briar said she's thinks her research is onto something."

"So, what's the plan for today?" Ash asked, sitting down at a table and getting himself a plate of food for breakfast.

"We gotta go throughout the Terrarium and find a bunch of Dittos." Ann explained, "They're supposed to look like cubes."

Ash chuckled, "Well, that's not something I've seen a Ditto do before."

The three trainers enter the Terrarium and begin searching around the neon-block structures, they eventually spots a block that is more of a bright purple. Pikachu strikes it with Thunderbolt. Causing the Ditto to faint and revert to its blob-shaped body. Hattrem immediately heals it with Heal Pulse, letting out worried cries at the trainers.

"What's wrong Hattrem?" Ash asked.

Liko scooped up the little Pokemon, "I think she's worried that we'll hurt the Ditto."

Ann smiled, "Don't worry! We just need to catch 'em before they run away! See?" She pointed to Meowscarada, who's now holding the Ditto in her paws.

"Plus, you can just use your Heal Pulse to make the Dittos feel better!" Ash added in.

Hattrem seemed to calm down, though she perked up as Meowscarada handed the Ditto to Liko. Meowscarada seemd to perk up as well, hearing a strange sound, some sort of sparkle. Meowscarada takes off in the direction of the noise. The three trainers run after the Pokemon.

"Meowscarada! Where are you going?!" Liko cried.

The trainers catch up to Meowscarada, seeing her holding up a bright blue block with a Ditto face.

"Woah, a blue Ditto?" Ann wondered.

"That's a shiny Ditto!" Ash exclaimed.

Meowscarada handed the blue Ditto off to her trainer. "Well, I think that deserves a celebration!" Ash brings out a Poke Ball, "Liko, how about a little match?"

Liko grinned and brought out a Poke Ball of her own. "Sure, what are you thinking?"

"How about we have a mirror match? Charcadet and Charcadet?"

"Sounds good!"

Ash and Liko send out their respective Charcadets. "Let's start with Ember!" Liko exclaimed.

Liko's Charcadet fires off little fireballs towards its opponent, which Ash's Charcadet easily dodges and rushes towards Liko's.

"Use Night Shade!"

Ash's Charcadet strikes Liko's Charcadet perfectly, causing it to fall onto the ground.

"Trap it with Fire Spin!" Ash commanded.

"Quick, Clear Smog!"

Ash's Charcadet summons a circle of fire around the other Charcadet. Liko's Charcadet blinds Ash's with Clear Smog. When Ash's Charcadet gets its vision back, all that's left is an empty Fire Spin.
