"Let's begin with Crunch!"
"Cut him off with Flamethrower, Quilava!"
Feraligatr tries to chomp down on the little Pokemon, but Quilava launches a Flamethrower powerful enough to hold it back. Feraligatr simply shakes off the flames once Quilava gets tired.
Ash quickly forms a plan, he can't let Feraligatr connect with a Water type move. "Close in with Aerial Ace!"
Quilava rushes in with the wind as its ally. Hitting Feraligatr straight in the chest, dealing some damage.
"Get it off with Slash." Silver commanded.
Feraligatr raises a paw and swats Quilava away. "Now use Aqua Tail." Feraligatr's tail glows a bright blue and closes in on the falling Quilava.
"Block it with Flame Wheel!" Ash panicked.
Quilava runs towards the tail surronded by the flames. The two moves hold each other in place before eventually Aqua Tail extinguishs the wheel of flames and smacks Quilava to the ground, weakened greatly.
Ash stared on as Quilava can barely muster the energy to meet Feraligatr's gaze. Though he quickly sees that Silver's not making a final command, reveling in Ash's loss. Though the Monarch takes this as the perfect opening. "Eruption, now Quilava!"
Quilava lets out one last cry and opens up the ground beneath Feraligatr, dealing consistent yet not very effective damage to the bigger Pokemon. Quilava keeps screaming, soon glowing in a bright light. Emerging at Feraligatr's size and donning a collar with ember-colored flames. Which Ash quickly scans with his Rotom Phone.
"Typhlosion, the Volcano Pokémon and the evolved form of Quilava. A Fire type, It attacks using blasts of fire. It creates heat shimmers with intense fire to hide itself."
"Awesome! You evolved!" Typhlosion smiled to Ash, while his friends also can't contain their excitement while battling the Explorers, especially after figuring out how to adapt to Strong Spheres.
"Let's finish this, Feraligatr. Slash now!"
Feraligatr lauches a paw at Typhlosion, but the Flame Pokemon catches it in its own paw.
"Now, let's finish this with a powered-up Flamethrower!" Ash called out.
Typhlosion exhaled, but no flame emerged. Instead a dark purple ball, which hits Feraligatr with enough force to send it flying back.
"What the heck was that?" Silver questioned as Feraligatr got back up.
"That was Shadow Ball!" Ash exclaimed. "Now do it again!"
Typhlosion unleashes another Shadow Ball, only for Feraligatr to catch it in its mouth with Crunch. Though Ash just has Typhlosion strike it in the chest again with Aerial Ace. Knocking Feraligatr back and making it drop the Shadow Ball on his head. Feraligatr faints soon after, falling to the ground. Ash turns just in time to see the two Paldean Tauros fall to the ground and the newbie-Explorers run off after recalling their Pokemon.
Silver recalls Feraligatr, his face seems angry, rageful even, yet he takes a breath and calms down. Showing a smile, almost proud. "Makes sense the World Monarch could win the battle despite at a type disadvantage." He remarked, pulling out another Poke Ball to reveal a Crobat, which he prompt gets on.
"Hey! Where are you going?!" Ash asked, clearly wondering where this dude came from and why he wanted to battle him so suddenly.
"Nowhere you need to know, we'll meet again." Silver responded, with that Crobat flew off into the sky.
The trainers regroup inside the Poke Ball Factory, Karna dumping the box of Strong Spheres in the trash.
"I'm glad you told me how harmful these could be." Karna said in relief, "Though so many people put in orders, they're just gonna take their business elsewhere."
