What If Ash was in Pokemon Horizons?

Astonishing! Mega Rayquaza and the Land of Mystery!?

The Rising Volt Tacklers lay exhausted on the beach just outside the Brave Olivine, trying to withstand the sudden surge of heat as Orla works continuously inside the airship to fix the air conditioner.

"Well isn't it funny how I've ran into all of you!" Wy-Yes suddenly stood before them, "And just in the nick of time too!"

Navi seemed confused, "Who's this guy?"

"That's Wy-Yes, he used to be a member of the Rising Volt Tacklers." Dot explained, "He's a Pokemon journalist and he even wrote an article about us."

"Yeah, except he's never wrote anything truthful." Mollie remarked, "Stay away from him, kid."

"So did another Pokemon mystery bring you here?" Ash asked.

"Indeed I did!" Wy-Yes exclaimed, "I've heard rumors about an area just south of here, called Area Delta. On the night of a full moon, witnesses have said they've seen dancing, falling rocks, vicious winds, blazing fires and a terrifying Pokemon that'll drag intruders into another world!"

The children paled at Wy-Yes's description, "What Pokemon is it?" Liko asked.

"It's a Rayquaza!" Wy-Yes revealed, "One that's achieved permanent Mega Evolution through the countless meteorites it's consumed in the ozone layer. Since you all were able to tame the Black Rayquaza, I figured you'd be the perfect fit to help me solve the secrets of Area Delta!"

"Don't tell me you're going to get the kids involved with your tall tales again." Mollie remarked.

"Oh, do you wanna come Mollie?" Wy-Yes offered.

"No way," Mollie said before walking into the Brave Olivine.

"Well I'm not missing out on catching another Rayquaza." Ult remarked, "We're in!"

"Splendid!" Wy-Yes cheered, "We'll be heading out tonight since it'll be a full moon!"

"Awesome!" Navi awed, "Navi's never stayed up that late."

"You sure you can wake up on time?" Ult teased.

Navi stuck her tongue out at him, "Navi can and will!"

That night, Ash, Liko, Roy, Dot and Ult meet up with Wy-Yes outside the Brave Olivine. "Where's Navi?" Ash asked.

"Saw her and Ditto sound asleep in their beds." Ult informed them proudly, "Looks like they won't be joining us, like I thought."

The group heads south, spotting wild Pokemon along the way before reaching an area shaped like a triangle and containing multiple triangle-shaped rocks. Among those rocks stands a tall trainer that Ash recognizes. "Hey Alain!"

Alain turned around and smiled at his friend "Hi there Ash," he turned to the rest of the group. "And hi Rising Volt Tacklers, it's good to see you again."

"What are you doing here?" Roy asked.

"I heard about the rumors of a Mega Rayquaza around here." Alain explained, "I wanted to tame it before anyone could get hurt."

"We're doing that exact same thing!" Ash exclaimed.

"Awesome, the two finalists of the Kalos League taking on a Mega Rayquaza!" Wy-Yes exclaimed with glee before pulling out a familiar device.

"Hey, isn't that the device the Explorers used against the Black Rayquaza?" Roy asked.

Wy-Yes nodded, "I bought it online, the seller mentioned a repair job. Once I use this, Raquaza will come straight to us. So get ready!"

Wy-Yes flipped a switch on the device as the trainers readied their Pokemon. They all wait in silence before a group of Clefairy appear from the shadows and begin to dance underneath the full moon. The trainers' Pokemon begin dancing alongside the Clefairy, creating an amusing sight. The Clefairys' fingers begin to glow, making Ash's eyes widen.
