What If Ash was in Pokemon Horizons?

"Use Blizzard!" Coral shouted.

Glalie spits out tons of snow, freezing Yellow Blast's hands in ice. Ult remembers the size of Sableye's gem and gets an idea, "Sableye, use your gem as a shield to block the Blizzard!"

Sableye stands in front of its allies and blocks the attack with its gem, directiong the Blizzard at some nearby rocks instead.

Friede smirks at the counterattacks, "Alright, our counterattacks start now. Instructor Starmie, power up a powerful Psybeam!"

"You do the same, Greninja!" Ash commanded, "Charge up an even biggder Water Skuriken

Instructor Starmie and Greninja both stand tall, charging up power. Glalie, Areodactyl and Aggron charge towards it in an attempt to stop the attacks. Ult smirks, "Use Confuse Ray!"

The opposing Pokemon dodge the attack, only for the Confuse Ray's light to bounce off the rocks that were frozen with Blizzard and strikes them. Instructor Starmie strikes a powerful Psybeam and Greninja fires the Water Skuriken it was hovering on, the opposing Pokemon are struck with Psybeam but are able to dodge the Water Skuriken. "Don't celebrate just yet!" Ash taunted, "Ult, think you can lend a hand?"

Ult nodded, "Sableye!"

Sableye runs up to the Water Skuriken and bounces it off its gem, allowing it to strike the opposing Pokemon. Yellow Blast dodges every one of Medicham's attacks, but struggles to land any of its own due to its fists still being frozen in ice.

"Don't worry, Yellow Blast." Roy reassured, "Well find another way."

Roy and Yellow Blast catch their breath, relaxing their bodies. Their pulses breathe in sync as Yellow Blast's tendrals begin to glow in an organ light and strikes Medicham with a Close Combat. "All right!" Roy praised.

"Interesting," Chalce mused, "But it won't matter, Zen Headbutt."

Medicham strikes towards Yellow Blast headfirst, Yellow Blast smirks and holds up its paws and the Zen Headbutt shatters the ice. "Great thinking! Now use Aerial Ace!"

Yellow Blast punches Medicham in the stomach with a white-glowing paw, just before the attack hits, Medicham's Mega Evolution comes undone. Causing the attack to deal more damage since Medicham is in its base form.

"Medicham's Mega Evolution stopped?" Ash asked, "But, it can still battle..."

Suddenly, Coral begins to laugh, "Oh man, this is so much fun!" she wiped away tears from her eyes, "All that PR stuff and those Strong Spheres are so boring! This is way better! Glalie, let's finish this like we always do, Self Destruct!"

Glalie begins to glow, "Yeah, that's gonna do nothing." Ult said with confidence, "Sableye, protect everyone."

Sableye begins to charge towards Glalie, "Wait, that's Mega Glalie..." Friede mused, "Instructor Starmie, take the hit, get ahead of Sableye with Stone Edge!"

Instructor Starmie charges past Sableye just as Glalie explodes, striking every Pokemon including Sableye. Instructor Starmie, Glalie, Areodactyl and Aggron fall to the ground.

"Mega Glalie's Ability is Refrigerate," Friede explained, "So it made Self Destruct into an Ice type move."

"Coral's got a point." Sidian said as he recalled Aerodactyl. "The amount of times we used the Strong Spheres didn't help the bonds we had with our Pokemon. We couldn't use Mega Evolution to it's full power. That's probably why Medicham's Mega Evolution stopped."

"Have you gone mad?!" Gozu exclaimed, "Why would the boss ever agree to work with weaklings like you?!"

"They're wrong, you're all wrong!" Chalce declared, pulling out a Strong Sphere and spraying the Laquium on Medicham. "This is what Medicham wants."
