What If Ash was in Pokemon Horizons?

Secret Ditto Rhapsody

Skeledirge and Lycanroc sneak into the Brave Olivine's food supply in the dead of night. They eagerly feast on the Berry supply before hearing the sound of a Pikechu behind them. They turn around and see Pikachu, having heard them and snuck out of Ash and Liko's cabin.

"Pikachu!" Pikachu scolded them, reaminding the Pokemon that the Berries are meant for the daily meals of every Pokemon on the ship.

Cap suddenly appears beside Pikachu, donning beady eyes and a wide smile. Pikachu confidently thinks Cap's here to help scold the Pokemon, only for Cap to tranform back into a Ditto. Much to the shock of the other Pokemon.

Ditto suddenly transforms into the bird on Skeledirge's snout and hops right next to the real bird before perfoming a little dance, making the Pokemon laugh.

The next morning, The Pokemon introduce Ditto to the rest of the Pokemon aboard the Brave Olivine. Ditto transforms into Ult's Sableye and does a little dance, the Pokemon enjoy the performace, especially Sableye. Meowscarada rolls her eyes, not seeing the appeal of the new Pokemon. They watch their trainers toss their trash into Muk's mouth as Ult eagerly pushes a large v-shaped rock towards the ship, only to be stopped by Ash and Roy.

"What are you doing with that rock?" Ash asked.

"I found it, and I wanna add it to my collection." Ult said proudly.

Roy shook his head, "Yeah, no way. We don't have any space on the ship."

The Pokemon gasp, believing that Ditto would be forced to be released back into the wild if the humans ever saw it. Cap took a commanding stance among the Pokemon, "Pika!" he commanded, declaring that until further notice, the humans may not see the Ditto under any circumstance.

That afternoon, Meowscarada sits with Liko as she admires the wooden sculpture of a Squawkabilly she had boaught. "Don't you think Grandma'll will love it?" She asked her Pokemon, causing Meowscarada to purr in response.

Meowscarada feels a tug at her backside, she turns around and notices her tail has gained eyes and a smile similar to Ditto's. Meowscarada begins to freak out at Ditto attaching itself to her, causing a commotion much to Liko's confusion. "Meowscarada, what's wrong?"

The other pokemon rush in and block Liko's view as Pikachu pulls Ditto off of Meowscarada. Ditto then transforms into Sableye and hides in Skeledirge's mouth to avoid Liko seeing its face. The Pokemon scurry out of the room as both Meowscarada and Liko fail to notice that the sculpture had fallen into the box of items Liko had planned to feed to Muk. Meowscarada takes the box outside and dumps the contents into Muk's mouth without a second thought.

Meanwhile, Ditto hangs out with the other Pokemon down in Hold where Shuckle had once faced off against Polteageist a year prior. Ditto has fun with its new friends, transforming into a member of the Maushold family, attaching itself to Armarouge's shoulder blade, becoming Nosepass's nose. The Pokemon suddenly hear footsteps approaching and rush to hide Ditto as Murdock peeks his head through the Hold's entrance. "Hey all! Lunch is ready! Lycanroc, I know you're still pretty chubby, so I made you a more healthy blend of Pokemon Food, I think you'l like it!"

The Pokemon head back up to eat, sneaking a couple bites for Ditto. Liko enters the kitchen, "Hey Meowscarada, have you seen the Squawkabilly sculpure? I can't find it anywhere."

Meowscarada shakes her head as Liko and Murdock leave the room. "Pika?" Pikachu offered to help, knowing hou much Liko means to Meowscarada. "Pikachu!" Pikachu recommended retracing Meowscarada's steps.

Meowscarada thinks for a moment, before her fur shrinks in horror as she realizes the only thing to leave Liko's cabin was the box she fed to Muk, and somehow the sculputr had ended up in the box.

Meowscarada tears up and curls into a ball, she sobs as the Pokemon gather around her in concern. "Woah, what's going on here?" Ash walked into the room, "Should I grab Liko?"

"Pika." Pikachu shook his head, asking his trainer to let the Pokemon handle this.

Ash nodded without hesitation, "I trust you, buddy."

As Ash exited the kitchen, Ditto approached Meowscarada and transformed into the sculpture. Meowscarada brightened up, picking up Ditto and bringing it inside Liko's cabin and handing it to her. "You found it! Thanks, Meowscarada!" Liko praised, pulling out a pink toy. "I think you've earned a little reward."

Meowscarada excitedly meowed as Liko dangles the toy at her Pokemon, right over Ditto's nose. Meowscarada notices this rushes out of the room. Pikachu stands right outside waiting for her, "Pikachu." he scolded, reminding her that Ditto can't stay as a sculpture forever.

"Meow..." Meowscarada asked if Pikachu had any idea to get the sculpture back.

Pikachu thought for a moment, thinking about Ash's Muk. "Pika!" Pikachu told Meowscarada how Muk prbabbly hadn't digested the sculpture yet, meaning they could still get it back.

"Meow!" Meowscrada brightened up, realizing what she had to do.

A couple minutes later Ash, Liko, Roy, Dot and Ult arrive outside to feed Muk some more of their unwanted trash. "So that sculputre's gone again?" Ash asked.

"Yeah, I went looking for Meowscarada and when I came back to our cabin it was gone again." Liko explained, "But, if Meowscarada found it once I'm sure she'll find it again."

Liko's friends notice something going on right in-front of them while Liko had been talking and not paying attention to her surrondings, "You mean like how Meowscarada is forcing Muk to open its mouth?" Dot asked.

Liko's face snapped forward and saw her partner Pokemon prying opn Muk's mouth as the other Pokemon of the Brave Olivine watched, "Meowscarada, what are you doing?!" Liko rushed to pull her Pokemon away from Muk, "You're gonna get hurt, stop!"

Ditto suddenly hops out of hiding and lands on Meowscarada's shoulder, revealing itself to everyone. "Is that a Ditto?" Roy asked, "Where'd it come from?"

Ditto transforms into the very pink toy that had almostcuased it to sneeze earlier, Meowscarada holds Ditto and smirks, coming up with an idea. Meowscarada dangles the toy in front of Muk, causing it to sneeze out the most-recent objects it had eaten, including the Squawkabilly sculpture.

Ditto catches the sculpture before it hits the ground and Meowscarada hugs it with gratitude, gaining appreciation for the Pokemon. Ditto hands the sculpture to Liko, allowing the trainers to get a good look at it before every Pokemon aboard the Brave Olivine stands between them, ready to defend Ditto.

"Wow, you must really care about everyone." Liko realized, "You don't wanna say goodbye after you made a lot of bonds."

"So, why's everyone acting like Ditto can't stay?" Ash asked, kneeling down to Pikachu's level, "Buddy, what's going on?"

Pikachu thought for a while before gesturing towards Ult, Ash and Roy and making a V-shape with his paws. "Oh, I know what's going on." Ult smirked, "You guys like the rock I found somuch that you want it on the ship!"

Roy deadpanned, "Yeah, that's not it meant at all."

Ash placed his hand on his chin, attempting to figure out Pikachu's charades. He snapped his fingers, "I think I got it! You guys heard us tell Ult he couldn't bring his rock with us cause we didn't have any room, and you thought that meant Ditto had to go too."

"Pikachu!" Pikachu cheered.

"Wait, that was it?" Dot asked, "We have tons of room for a Ditto. Ult just had a giant rock that wouldn't fit in his room."

"Hey!" Ult shouted, "It was beautiful!"

Roy rolled his eyes at Ult before smiling, "Dot's right. Ditto, if you wanna come with us, you can."

Ditto cheered as its new Pokemon friends cheered as well. Happy that their new friend is here to stay.

A/N: Since this episode focussed more on the Pokemon, I figured I'd give Ash's Pikachu a big role.
