"This is so unfair! How come she invited you and not me?" James complained for the tenth time that morning. Opal had told him she was going to Lily's for a few days, but really she was heading to Sirius'."Because she hates you, Prongs." Opal replied, tying her hair into a ponytail.
"That is so rude." James said, crossing his arms.
"One day, you'll get over her." Opal smirked as she put her rucksack on.
James rolled his eyes as he pulled her into a hug, ruffling her hair. "Don't have too much fun without me.
"I will." she laughed as the two walked down to the drawing room where Celestine and Ruby were.
"Opie, where you go?" Ruby asked, waddling towards her older sister. "I come?"
"Oh no, little Wings." James said, picking her up. "Your sister is being a big meanie and is leaving, you're going to have to stay with me."
"I don't want you." Ruby said, she stared blankly at James as he pretended to cry. "He's crying."
"Wow, she's going to be in Slytherin when she grows up." he laughed.
"No! I'm going to be in the roar house."
"Of course you are darling." Celestine said, lightly pinching Ruby's cheeks, she turned towards Opal. "Are you sure you know the way? Your father can always apparate you there."
Opal shook her head. "No, I'm just going to floo to the Leaky Cauldron and then get a train to her house, got some muggle money, uncle Monty gave me."
"And your wand?"
"Safely tucked away in my trunk." Opal replied, avoiding her mothers eyes.
"Give me your wand."
"But what if something happens and I need it?"
"You won't need it, Opal, give it to me."
"Mum."
"Opal!"
Opal rolled her eyes, taking her wand from her pocket and handing it to her mother.
"Lily's parents are muggles, why do you need your wand?"
"To do the dishes."
Celestine shook her head then kissed Opal's forehead. "Have a good time, I love you."

It took Opal a few hours to figure out the muggle transport system to get to Islington. She'd walked by a little market selling flowers and picked up a bunch of dahlias using the money Fleamont gave her to pay for them. She finally made it when she saw the road sign: Grimmauld Place.
She walked down the street counting the houses. Nine, ten, eleven, thirteen, fourteen– she doubled back looking at the houses eleven and thirteen, realising there was no twelve.
She looked down at the letter Sirius sent, making sure the address was correct. Number twelve Grimmauld place.
She heard the sound of rubble, looking back up a house darker than the rest appeared and the silver number of the door was marked twelve. The door opened and Sirius walked out with a smile.
"Sorry, I forgot to tell you how to get in."
Opal returned the smile as she walked up the steps. "I did think you were pranking me."
"Yeah, your face was funny when you looked confused." Sirius laughed as he let her into the house. "You brought flowers?"
"Yeah, I didn't know if I should bring anything, so I got these." she said holding up the bunch.
