"Hi, you've reached Opal-"
"-Sirius-"
"-and Remus, please leave a message after the beep-"
"-So when do we hear the beep?"
"PADFOOT!"

Beep!

11th August 1978

Opal opened another box, in her new flat, she had lost count on how many they had actually opened, but this one had the book she had gotten at the match. She hadn't decided if she was going to even do the spell yet.

There wasn't a spell that could bring back the dead.

Not that she had ever heard of... was that the spell her parents were looking for?

She tapped her foot, staring at it, debating whether it was a good idea, but Sirius disturbed her, poking his head through the door.

"Finished unpacking?"

"Not yet," she said, quickly hiding the book behind the box.

"You're okay with us moving in together, right?" he asked.

Opal smiled. "Of course I am, Sirius. You should really be asking Remus if he really wants to live with us."

"I am very happy to do so," his voice called from the other bedroom.

Sirius grinned, "The walls are very thin. It's a good job I'm excellent at silencing charms,"

"That's good." she said, nodding.

Sirius tilted his head. "You okay?"

Opal still hadn't told him about the book, she wasn't too sure what his reaction would be like.

"I'm fine," she nodded, he walked towards her wrapping his arms around her, kissing her temple.

"I love you,"

"I love you too," she said, nestling into his chest then she pulled away. "I need to finish."

"Oh, just five more minutes,"

"It's never just five more minutes is it?"

"Shhh, you're ruining a perfect moment, Opes-"

"I can't believe you're both fleeing the nest." James said, walking into their room.

"James, you can't keep going on about this," Opal shook her head.

"I will talk about this until the day I die, I can't believe your both leaving me-"

"You have Marls,"

"She and Cas are getting a place together,"

"They are?"

"Yup, so I'm gonna be at home all alone-"

"Right well your mother and I shall just move out then, shall we? Where do you want this Opes?" Fleamont asked, holding another one of Opal's boxes.

"I didn't mean it like that-"

"Of course you didn't son," he shook his head, Euphemia ran towards them clutching a letter in her hands. "Effie darling, guess what our wonderful son just said?"

But Euphemia didn't answer, her eyes on Opal, which made her heart sink.

She recognised the St Mungo's print.

"Opal your dad-"

Her heart stopped, fearing the worst.

"-He's awake."

Opal ran through the corridors of the hospital, she ran past all the healers, patients, she'd even passed a very angry cleaner who had told her to stop running because the floor was still wet from mopping.
