"Dad, can I ask you a favour?" Opal asked.

Killian was getting ready to head down to the ministry to clear Opal and Sirius from using underaged magic.

"What is it, darling?"

Opal handed him a piece of paper. "Can you take me to this address? I'm not sure if they have a floo network."

He read the note then looked back at his daughter. "Wales? Why do you need to go there?"

"To see a friend." she replied.

He looked at his watch, then nodded. "Come on then, is it just you?"

"Yeah." She took a hold of his arm as he apparated, they landed in front of a small cottage.

"Do you want me to wait for you?" Killian asked.

"No, it's fine." she shook her head, looking at the pale green painted door.

"I should be done in a few hours, then I'll come and get you."

Opal nodded as her father disappeared, she walked up to the door and pressed the doorbell.

She waited a moment before the door opened, a lady answered, she had a kind face, her hair was the same shade of brown and her eyes were warm and comforting.

"Hello dear?"

"Hi, Mrs Lupin, I was wondering if Remus was in?"

"Are you a friend from school?"

"Yeah, I'm Opal, Opal Wings."

Mrs Lupin smiled, opening the door wider. "Oh, Opal, I've heard many good things about you."

Opal walked into the house, the scent of chocolate and honey filled her nose, very Remus like she thought to herself.

"Remus is just in the shower, would you like a brew whilst you wait?"

"Yes please, Mrs Lupin."

"Oh, call me Hope, Mrs Lupin makes me sound old, sugar?" Hope laughed, making her way into the kitchen.

"Two please."

Opal could hear the water running from upstairs as she looked at the picture's hanging up on the wall of Remus when he was a child. She walked into the living room, it was small but welcoming, by the window was a large box with moving people on it. She'd learned about televisions in muggle studies, but she'd never actually seen one working.

"Sorry, I was just watching Corrie." Hope said, handing Opal a mug of tea, she then walked to the box, changing the screen. The water stopped running as the tap was turned off. "Remus, my love. You have a visitor." Hope called up the stairs.

"I'll be down in a minute."

Opal took a sip of her tea, a few moments later Remus walked into the living room, he sighed, rolling his eyes when he saw her turning away to leave.

"Remus." Hope scolded, he looked back at Opal.

"I told James I'm busy."

"Well, are you busy right now?" she asked.

He hesitated then nodded. "Yes, I have to paint the shed."

"Cool, I'll help." Opal said, placing her mug on the side table.

"You don't have too."

"My dad's not going to be back for a couple of hours, come on." Opal said, standing up, she followed him into the garden. It was filled with colourful flowers, there was a stone bird bath next to the bench, the small shed at the end of the garden was painted cream, but the colour faded, Remus opened the shed and took out a tin of pale blue paint.
