"It's alright Prongs, you'll get over it." Sirius said, taking a seat next to his friend, James had just broken the news that Nasreen had broken up with him.
"You guys were only together for a few months." Remus said, patting his shoulder.
"Oh my god James get over it!"
"Wormy, this is why we don't let you give advice." Opal glared but Peter just shrugged, she looked back at James and gave him a small smile. "Not all relationships last, she wasn't the one."
"She said I talk about Quidditch too much-"
Remus nodded. "You do talk about Quidditch a lot."
James let out a small cry, he turned and looked down the Gryffindor table, Nasreen was sitting next to Glenda and her other friends.
"What's got Potter crying?" Lily asked, sitting in between Opal and Remus.
"Nas broke up with him." Remus said.
Lily perked up slightly. "Oh?"
"Yup, now we have to deal with this." Sirius said, turning his head towards James who had his head leant down in his arms.
"I'm fine."
"Sure you are, Prongs."
James sighed, "I do talk about Quidditch a lot- but she's also on the team."
"She broke up with you because you call sex bedroom Quidditch." Peter said with no emotion.
"Well I wasn't going to call it sex, was I?"
"I need new friends." Opal sighed.
"Got herbology next." Lily said.
"I'll walk down with you, I do not want to have to deal with this mess." Opal stood up, grabbing her bag, and the two went to their herbology class, which felt like it dragged on as Professor Sprout kept going on about sea lavender.
"Is it true that Patil broke up with James?" Marlene leaned over their table.
Opal nodded, "Last night apparently."
"Awwh, I thought they'd last." Mary said, sighing.
"I mean she was hardly into him." Lily said, then quickly covered her comment with a cough.
"Huh?" Dorcas asked.
"I just mean, it seemed like she took him for granted, that's all- anyway, I don't even care, I've got to finish this off." Lily put her head down and started writing her essay.
Opal glanced at the girls but they all shrugged.
The bell rang for the end of class and the students filed out into the busy corridors.
Dorcas let out a long sigh. "Ugh potions next-"
"EVERYONE WATCH OUT!"
Opal turned around and saw James and Sirius zoom round the corner floating on a four poster bed, it seemed like they were having trouble steering.
"James the wall!"
"I can see the wall!"
"Then stop!"
"I can't!"
A split second later they crashed into the wall.
"MR POTTER! MR BLACK! What on earth are you doing?" Professor McGonagall shouted running past the girls.
Sirius perked his head up from behind a curtain. "I was trying to cheer James up." he said, innocently.
"I am cheered up." James said, lodging himself next to Sirius.
