"Come on, Saph, just one word. Say dad."
Sirius had become convinced that Sapphire's first words were going to be dad, he had been trying for the past week since she had uttered her first "Duh-" which Dorcas was sure she was trying to say her name. Sirius was adamant she was going to say it.
"Dad? Dadda?" he tried again.
"I don't think she's going to say it, love." Opal told him, handing him a cup of tea.
"She will," He said, as Opal picked her up.
"Nah, she'll say mum first, isn't that right Sapphie?" she said, lightly squeezing her rosy cheeks, she giggled in response burying her head into her neck.
"I think she's laughing at us, I reckon Moony's corrupted her."
"What? You think she can actually talk but Remus has told her not to," Opal laughed at his theory.
"That is exactly what I think. It's either him or Lils, I haven't got any proof but one of them is trying to corrupt our little Saph."
Opal rolled her eyes passing him their daughter. "I'm heading down to the Burrow, bring Saph later for Ruby's birthday."
"We'll be there," Sirius said, bouncing Sapphire in his arms, he picked up one of her hands, making it look like she was waving to her mother. "Say bye bye to mummy,"
But Sapphire just giggled and face planted into her father's shoulder.
"This is Moony's fault," Sirius said, kissing her cheek goodbye.
Opal apparated into the garden of the Burrow. The misshapen house stood out against the yellowing fields.
"Bill! It's my birthday! I should be the captain!" Ruby's bossy voice shouted.
"Rubes, there's only four players, we don't need a captain." Bill tried to explain.
There was a loud sigh then a grumbled "Fine."
"You still want to play Quidditch?" Opal called out, walking towards the fence.
Four red heads turned to face her, Ruby's eyes lit up with excitement.
"Opie!" she shouted excitedly, "I thought you weren't coming until later!" she jumped over the fence, almost tackling her sister in a hug.
"Oof!"
"I missed you," she said.
Opal wrapped her arms around her tightly, "Missed you more, you've gotten tall," she grinned.
"I'm six today!"
"I know Rubes, Happy birthday," she said, giving her an extra hug.
"Ruby, are you gonna play or not!" Charlie shouted over, he was in the midst of helping Percy get onto one of the brooms.
"I'm coming, stop getting your knickers in a twist," she rolled her eyes, running back onto the field, grabbing her broomstick and swiftly flying above the ground.
Opal smiled impressively, she was going to be a great Quidditch player. She walked into the house where Molly was feeding her newest son, Ron.
"Hello dear," She smiled up at her.
Opal looked around the living room, it had been decorated up to Ruby's standards, with green and pink bows and ribbons, the table was full of different cups and teapots the plates were full of cupcakes and sandwiches, charmed with a freshening spell until they were to be eaten.
