31st October 1979

"I reckon the baby will come on my birthday," Sirius said, looking at the calendar James was holding up.

"Opal is late to everything, I reckon it's not coming until at least the end of November," James shook his head.

"You do realise that the baby is due on the 12th, I got Eunice to do an accurate due date." Opal shook her head.

"Oooh, how spooky would it be if it was born today?" Peter said, grinning.

"Very spooky, but I really hope not. I don't feel like having a baby right now." she groaned as she took a seat next to Dorcas.

"Did you know that only 5% of babies are actually born on their due dates?" Dorcas mentioned.

"See the baby is going to be late," James said, triumphantly.

"You still have at least two weeks to be correct about your prediction."

"I still think it's going to be late, and if it isn't then... I will resent that child for the rest of their lives-"

"No you won't."

James agreed. "No, I  won't. That child is going to be so spoiled."

Opal grinned.

"Right, I've got face masks, cucumber's for our eyes– why are you both still here?" Lily said, walking in looking at her husband and Sirius.

"Wow, okay. That hurts," James said, looking offended.

"You literally groaned when I told you we were having a pamper evening."

"Oh yeah," James laughed. "Sirius, we better leave now."

Peter rolled his eyes, "Well when you're forty and your skin is all dry and wrinkly, mine will be young a smooth,"

"I'll complain to you personally, Worms," Sirius laughed before kissing Opal's cheek goodbye, leaving Opal, Lily, Dorcas, Peter and Remus to their pamper evening.

"I still can't believe you're making me do this," Remus rolled his eyes, as Lily began putting a face mask on him.

"Oh shush, when we're finished you're going to feel like a baby's butt," Lily said.

"Questionable phrase there, Lils,"

"No she's right." Dorcas agreed, taking a bite of a cucumber.

"Cas! Stop eating them, they're for our eyes-"

"Sorry!"

Opal's stomach began to cramp up, she seized up wincing slightly.

Dorcas noticed her looking uncomfortable. "You okay?"

"Yeah, yeah. It's just Braxton Hicks, it's been happening all day-"

"Is the baby coming!" Peter asked, sitting up making the cucumbers fall off his face.

"No," Opal shook her head laughing. "It's just- Ow!"

She placed a hand on her stomach as the cramps got worse. She sat up taking in deep breaths.

"Opes-"

"I'm fine-" Opal began but her eyes widened as her waters broke. "SHIT!"

Sirius walked down the streets of Diagon Alley, Halloween decorations on each shop, the alley was filled with wizards and witches getting their last minute sweets for their trick or treaters.
