"Career options, please see
your name and time
to meet with
your head of house"

"I wonder how many options I will have." Remus said, sarcastically looking up at the notice board.

"You could have many options." James said.

"Yeah, you could be a chocolate connoisseur." Peter suggested.

Remus rolled his eyes and turned away to sit on the sofa in front of the fireplace.

Opal sat next to him. "You could probably get a good job with your grades, ooh you could become an astronaut!"

Remus glared at her. "This is serious, I don't want jokes."

"I didn't make a joke."

"Astronaut. What's in space, Blaze?"

She thought for a moment. "Planets?"

"The moon!" he said, shaking his head. "You make the werewolf go to space."

"What would happen if you went to space?" Peter asked.

"I don't think I'd like to find out." Remus said, opening the daily prophet.

"But hypothetically if you did go to space-"

"Prongs I'm not going to space." he stopped talking to read an article.

"What's happened?" James asked, peering over at the newspaper.

"Dark marks been spotted over South London." Remus replied, reading more. "They didn't say who but a family has been murdered, probably muggle."

Opal's stomach churned as she shifted uncomfortably, she had heard about 'death eaters' and the man they call 'Lord Voldemort' but she never thought they would start killing people.

"My dad was telling me that they're going to keep recruiting until everyone is on their side." Peter said.

"The man calls himself the dark lord, how scary is he really?" James said, taking out his rolled up Quidditch magazine from his robes and opened it up. "I heard he hasn't even got a nose."

"How does he smell?"

"I dunno Worms, when I see him I'll ask him."

"Miss Wings." Professor McGonagall said she looked down at Opal's grades then looked back at her. "Have you thought about your time after Hogwarts?"

"Um." Opal hesitated, she'd not really thought about it; there were limited job roles in the wizarding world, the ones she could think of was working at the ministry and that was something she did not want to do. "I wouldn't mind playing Quidditch professionally."

Professor McGonagall leaned back in her chair, looking dissatisfied. "Really Opal? Your grades are outstanding, you're most likely to get all your OWLs." she said. "You have grades that could help you become a healer, I know you help Mr Lupin sometimes when he's feeling under the weather."

"I know but, what if I'm not good at that stuff? At least with Quidditch I know I'm good at that."

"It's not about what you're good at, it's about challenging yourself. A young student, Jeremy Shelley graduated a few years ago and he too wanted to be a Quidditch player also, but now he's a famous potions master. You have so much more potential, like your sisters."

Opal's eyebrows furrowed.

"I'm sure you've heard they are training to be aurors."

Opal shook her head. "No, they didn't tell me."
