Chapter 44: Perfection's Redemption

After taking the new Emolga Taxi back to Helios City, they see that Reukra is there with Tory and Red. And much to their surprise, Harmony is also there as well.

"Mom?" Taen asks after hugging her, "What are you doing here?"

"Taen, it is good to see you again, I was asked by your father to come here." Harmony sighs. "I really want this to get over with since my father is making me worried."

"Well, this brings back memories. It was you and that Deoxys girl last time, though, wasn't it? What was her-" Reukra says.

" Don't you dare say her name! It's your fault she's like that." Ash yells.

"Relax, Ash." Red says. "He has been helping us make a viral, Lillie will be back to normal and I am sure of it."

Reukra says, "Heh, a bit of spark. Adorable. Now about the reason I asked you here." He turns around and says, "I have information that could help you. It'll help you find your friends and get up the mountain. I don't want much in return, just two small favors. I want your time to test something, once again."

"What is it?" Ash asks.

"I have data on all your battles, and I knew that you gained some Pokemon." He says. "I made Pokemon, experimental versions of them, anyway. But I couldn't create any perfect Pokemon. You, on the other hand, have Arceus, the Insurgent Pokemon."

Ash just stares at him, he says, "From the original dragon to Delta Species to armors... They've all fallen short. Nothing was as perfect as I needed it to be. The legends say Arceus created the universe. The strongest Pokemon of all time. As I'm sure you know, the domain of a legendary Pokemon is tied to its artifact."

He takes the Azure Flute and they widen their eyes, even Arceus. "Where did he get that Flute?"

"I don't know how my Elite 4 stumbled across such an incredible artifact, but I'm thankful they didn't know how to use it. Could you imagine the disaster the world would be with Arceus under control? But me, on the other hand...Everything I have done is for Perfection. All I have to do is to play the flute, but I am no Musician."

"What do you want with Arceus?" Nora asks.

Reukra says, "That is the reason why I have to call you here." He takes out a diary. "Read it and you'll know about it."

As they open the diary, Alice reads the first part. "Metchi Town lab in shambles due to second Volcarona. Evidence suggests a lethal toxin emitted into the air upon evolution. I have begun to move all my equipment to my alternate base beneath Helios City. It's not the same, but it'll do. After the toxin has cleared, I will make a note to return to retrieve what remains. The potential of this Pokemon is astounding, however, I need to find a way to control it. Perhaps a legendary Pokemon of some sort? I've instructed Taen to begin a search for the Unovan dragons. As the legendary Pokemon that represents perfection, the Original Dragon should almost definitely be able to deal with my little Volcarona problem."

Zachary reads the next part as he says, "I've been continuing research on restraining disobedient Pokemon, and I've come across a patent filed by Anastasia for the creation of protecting and controlling armors. This is fantastic news. Not only would armor help me control Delta Volcarona, but I can also add it to the list of possible ways a perfect Pokemon might be created. It's definitely worth looking into, for multiple reasons. Taen seems to have had some success with the Unovan dragons' task, having found Kyurem and Zekrom already. I will ask him to commission armor for Zekrom off Anastasia. Perhaps that would be enough to make Zerkrom perfect- but I'd also like to reverse-engineer it myself to create armor for Delta Volcarona. This should keep it docile enough to bend to my will."
