I left Mingi's house and went straight to Felix's because there was nowhere for me to go afterwards. Once I rang the doorbell, Felix opened it with a smile. But that immediately faded, assuming he figured out something was wrong. Without saying a word, he took my hand and led us to his room.

"Hey." He spoke softly with concern, closing the door and taking us to the bed. "Are you okay?"

The simple question hit me like a bullet to the chest. Because it came from Felix, I felt more emotional rather than it coming from Mingi or Yunho. It's a different type of caring concern.

I felt my eyes sting, but I wouldn't dare let myself cry. So I nodded with an unconvincing smile and wished for the best. Felix saw right through me and started to caress my cheek with immense worry. The sudden affection is what ultimately made me break just a little. I shook my head and cried silently, staying still as I looked at him.

"I..." I tried to talk, but my voice was shaky. "I stayed over Mingi's last night. Yunho was there too." I felt embarrassed by my voice cracking. Why can't I get it together? "I went back home and all my stuff was on the front lawn destroyed. So I don't really think I can go back there."

"Oh my god, Hyunjin." He pulled me close to his chest, holding me tight. "Why didn't you tell me?"

"I didn't want you to worry." I sniffled, sounding congested. "I only ended up at Mingi's because I bumped into him at the store down the road and we talked."

"Does Wooyoung know? Why didn't you just go there?"

"I don't wanna bother him right now. He's been with San and he needs Wooyoung more than I do."

"Hyunjin, you know Wooyoung wouldn't care. He'd probably beg you to stay with him." Felix reached his arm back and grabbed his phone. "Let me show you something." He mumbled, searching. "Here, look." It was a text thread between him and Wooyoung

Wooyoung
He just left

Felix
How did it go?

Wooyoung
I didn't want him to leave

Me and my mom tried to convince him without pushing it

I know him better than anyone so I know he felt like he was intruding and overstaying. But my mom would literally adopt him, that's how much she loves him

He's a part of my family. He's my brother. I need him more than he realizes

Felix
I know Hyunjin cares about you and your family a lot, he always talks about you

I'm sure he won't be stubborn for too long if you convince him to stay

Wooyoung
Tbh I'm scared he'll think I'll just shut him out because of San and that he'll be intruding on us

Felix
You think?

Wooyoung
I'm just guessing

But I'd pick Hyunjin over San no matter what

"See?" Felix reassured me after I gave him back his phone. "I still don't know everything about you, Hyunjin. But what I do know is that Wooyoung's family is your real family." I nodded and sniffled, knowing it was true. "Do you want me to talk to him?" I shook my head. I ran my hand up the back of his shirt to have a better grip on his waist, desperate to have him as close as possible. "Okay, baby." He kissed my forehead and ran his fingers through my hair. "You're gonna be okay."
