I was in my room painting peacefully on a canvas I had just bought. Kkami shockingly stayed still on my bed as he watched me create strokes of light yellow with my paintbrush. But my peace was gone once he started barking, making me jump and nearly messing up.

"Kkami." I whined and looked at him as he barked at my window. The last thing I was expecting was Wooyoung's hands on my window with wide eyes. I screamed and fell on the ground.

"Can I come in now?" Wooyoung laughed, letting himself in anyway. "I'd say that looks familiar." He dramatically winked. I looked back at the canvas and panicked, throwing it across the room. "I brought snacks." He smiled, putting a bag on my bed.

"Why are you here? I figured you'd be at Yeonjun's or something."

"God forbid I want to see my best friend." He scoffed. "But we need to figure something out."

"Figure what out?"

"Me and San and now you and Felix."

"Woo, I really don't need to get myself involved in that. I'll help you with San, of course. But me? In a relationship? Or even talking to a guy? I don't think so. Especially Felix. I'll joke around but I'm never serious."

"Why especially Felix?"

"Because his brother pinned me against a locker today and got in my face." I furrowed my eyebrows, remembering today's events. "But it was weird. I called Jisung for help and the second he saw him, he stopped."

"Maybe he just didn't wanna get in trouble?"

"No." I shook my head. "We were walking away together and he called Jisung back to talk to him. I think there's something going on. Jeongin did tell me they were friends though."

"Do you think they're...you know." He smirked.

"Jisung? No." I laughed. "He would tell me."

"Maybe he's keeping this a secret." He shrugged.

"We don't keep secrets. Ever."

"Call him right now."

"What, why?"

"Ask him to come over and see what he says."

"Are you serious?"

"Do it." I groaned and shook my head in defeat.

Within a few rings, Jisung answered.

"Hey, are you busy right now?" I asked.

"Kinda, what's up?" He asked through the phone.

"What're you doing?"

Wooyoung was frantically waving, inaudibly saying 'speakerphone'. I had to hold in a laugh.

"I'm with some friends right now."

Wooyoung rolled his eyes, not believing him.

"Who?"

"No one you know."

"Ask him." Wooyoung whispered. I shook my head but he energetically nodded. "Do it."

"Jisung, what's going on with you and Minho?" I slapped my mouth in disbelief that I just said that.

"What?"

Wooyoung nodded, encouraging me to keep asking questions.

"Why did he want to talk to you? And don't lie to me. I'm your best friend, you're not supposed to keep secrets from me and if I find out you're lying, I'm gonna be really upset."

There was a long heavy sigh on the other line.

"Minho and I have been friends for a little bit. Yunho introduced us at San's party last year. He just wanted to apologize to me because he got embarrassed."

"I wanna go to one of San's parties." Wooyoung pouted quietly. That earned a small slap on the arm from me to which he was appalled by.

"Okay. I wish he would apologize to me but whatever." I nodded, believing him. "Is that who you're with right now?"

"Yeah."

"Okay, then I'll leave you guys alone."

"You're good, Hyun. I'm sorry for keeping that from you."

"It's okay, you didn't really keep anything from me. You just never told me."

"Right." There was a weird tension. I felt like I walked in forbidden territory. "I'll talk to you later then."

"Okay. Bye Hyunjin."

"Bye." I bit my fist then my finger. "That was awkward."

"They're fucking." Wooyoung said confidently.

"Jisung isn't gay. Minho definitely didn't seem the type either."

"How are you so beautiful yet so stupid?" Wooyoung let out a lovestruck sigh.

"Do you seriously think so?"

"Jisung is up for debate. Minho is not."

I stood up from the ground and walked over to the canvas I had thrown. The subject of the piece is unmistakable.

"It's been a day, Jinnie. You're already acting weird about him." His tone of voice changed from playful to serious. But in a comforting way rather than of concern. "Don't act like Minho is an issue for you right now. Jisung must be around Felix a lot; we will help you out. Just let yourself be happy for once. You're always there for me. If you weren't, I wouldn't feel comfortable breaking into your house and taking food from your fridge."

"You do that?"

"No." He shook his head. "Yes, I do." Then nodded shortly after. "But that's besides the point. You're a good person, Hyunjin. You're a kind soul."

"Wow, I'm shocked you could stay serious for so long."

"You're a very stupid, stupid soul." He smiled.

"You know there's a huge chance he's not even into guys."

"Hyunjin, did you see his outfit last night?"

"Yeah, I thought he looked cute." I mumbled, forcing down a smile remembering his light blue skinny jeans and oversized lavender cardigan. Wooyoung held his hand out and waved his fingers towards him. "What?"

"Phone."

"What? No."

"Hwang Hyunjin. Now."

"Oh my god." I rolled my eyes, slapping my phone in his hand. I watched him open up Instagram and he laughed immediately. "What?" I whined.

"You already have Felix's profile pulled up."

"Wooyoung, what are you doing?" I panicked, inching closer to him. But he held a hand out to protect himself. "Wooyoung, what are you doing? Stop." I repeated, then jumped on top of him to get my phone back.

"And done!" He exclaimed. I looked up at my phone that was still in his hand and gasped. He followed Felix. "Now we wait."

"I'm going to kill you." I said in the most nonchalant way possible because I just couldn't believe he had done this to me.

He looked at my phone and smiled. "Sure." Once he handed it back, it showed the Instagram notification 'Lee Felix (lee.felix915) started following you'. "Message him."

"Can we please take it slow?" I begged.

"I really don't think a 'hello' will kill you."

"Then message San right now."

"Point made." He nodded and smiled sheepishly.

I guess we're one step in the right direction now.
