I wanted to take Felix out on a date tonight. It's been unbearably cold these past few days, but today seemed reasonable.

"Do I look okay?" I examined my outfit in the mirror as Wooyoung stared unamused, laying on my bed.

"Of course you look okay, you're Hyunjin." He always says that like I'm supposed to know what that means. "You have no confidence, it's unsettling."

"How is that unsettling?" I went to my closet to grab another shirt before taking the current one off. I don't like how I look in the slightest bit so I'd rather avoid any type of skin exposure the best I can.

"Because you're the pretty best friend and I don't think you know that."

"Me?" I exclaimed at his preposterous statement. "Absolutely not. That's always been you."

"No, I'm the outgoing, loud one. You're the quiet, pretty one. How did you not know this?"

I looked closely at my face in the mirror, analyzing my complexion. I honestly have no idea what he's talking about. I never thought I was ugly, but I always thought I was average at best. Truth be told, I thought Wooyoung was the best looking person I knew until Felix came along.

"I mean, I'm not terrible looking." I jumped once I turned around from the mirror, not expecting Wooyoung to be less than an inch away from me.

"Look in the mirror again." He turned my head before I had the chance to move it myself. "What do you think your best feature is?"

"I don't know, my lips?" I shrugged, really unable to choose.

"You have perfect lips." He stuck his fingers in my mouth and pulled the edges of my lips to expose my teeth. "Perfect smile too." Then he turned my face to the left and slid his finger down my nose. "You got a slim nose, good shape. It's adorable." He squeezed both my cheeks with one hand and turned my face back and forth for him to examine. "You have very expressive eyes. Great jawline. Great hair, you're welcome. You're taller than me."

"I'm scrawny, Woo." I sighed.

Still squeezing my cheeks, he got close to my face. "Hyunjin, please hear me out." I nodded. "You could be a model with that face and that body. I don't know how you don't see what everyone else sees. You're so good looking, it's weird. I promise you, there's nothing wrong with the way you look. You're not too skinny, you're not average looking. You're Hyunjin, the hottest best friend in the world."

"Okay." I nodded and held my cheeks in slight pain once he finally let them go.

"Plus, I don't think Felix would be absolutely in love with someone he didn't find attractive." I couldn't argue with that so I blushed with my head down. "Now go pick him up and take him on this damn date."

Somehow, I actually had a plan. Being Christmas time, it made it a lot easier somehow. I was going to take Felix to see Christmas lights. I told him it was a surprise, but as I was driving to his house, I was slowly regretting the decision to not tell him. He's probably expecting this huge thing, but I really don't have much to offer. I'm just shocked I thought of something on my own so I was excited.

I knocked on his front door and waited for him to come outside. This habit will never change if I'm taking him out on a date. I always come to the door rather than wait for him in my car. I personally believe it starts things off strong and I know it makes him happy.

"Hey." He smiled once he opened the door. "You look handsome." His smile grew even bigger as he looked at the outfit Wooyoung picked out for me. I secretly hated when I got compliments because I had absolutely no idea how to respond to them without sounding like an idiot.
