Kkami immediately started to bark once I walked in the house.
"Hi, little one." I kneeled down and scratched his head, making his barking die down.
I smirked at the ground as I heard my mother's gasp from across the room.
"Hwang Hyunjin, what have you done?" I looked up at her fearful expression. Her jaw was tight with a hand on her chest. Dramatic. Now I know where I get it from.
"Dyed my hair." I shrugged nonchalantly, standing up straight. "What, you don't like it?"
"Of course I don't like it!" She shouted. "Honey, come in here!"
My dad walked in and gave me a similar look, just a lot more disgusted.
"Hyunjin, you look like a woman." My dad scoffed.
"Blonde hair makes me look like a woman?" I laughed. "It's a color. My hair was already kinda long to begin with. Try something else."
"Don't you dare talk to your father like that!" My mother reprimanded, pointing her finger at me.
"Then don't say I look like a woman, pretty simple."
"What is going on with you lately? I feel like you've changed ever since...ever since that boy." She shook her head, trying to come up with more bullshit.
"Felix." He has a name.
"Did he do this to you? I mean, I would think so since he also looks like that." My dad said.
"Wooyoung and I actually did it together." I smiled. "His mom loves our new looks."
"She goes a little too easy on her son and that's why he's the way he is." My mom mumbled.
"Or maybe it's the lack of a father." I felt my jaw tighten in anger. "If that kid had a dad growing up, maybe he wouldn't have turned out to be such a wimp."
That's it.
I turned around and went straight to my room.
"I'm leaving!" I shouted, grabbing a duffel bag and shoving in a week's worth of clothes.
"Oh, no you're not." Both my parents barricaded the door.
"No, I am!" This was the first time I've ever really stood up to my parents to this extent. "I'm sick and tired of being treated like this every single day! I'm sorry I'm not what you wanted. I'm sorry I'm not some athlete or have a lot of friends or...or have a girlfriend! The least you could've done is accept me and love me because that's what parents are supposed to do."
"Hyunjin, we do love-"
"That's not what you told Jisung's mom!" I screamed and threw the bag at the wall. "You told her that you and dad don't love me. I have to live with that now. Imagine your parents don't love you because of one minor thing like being fucking gay."
"Language." My dad groaned.
"Language?" I exclaimed. "You care about my fucking language? You are both terrible people." I shook my head in disbelief. I picked the bag up off the ground and aggressively pushed past them. "Sorry I can't continue the god damn bloodline. I got more important things to do like fucking my boyfriend and being a little bitch." I slammed the front door and ran to my car in case they came after me, which I doubt but still. Now I just need to figure out where I'm going to go. Felix or Wooyoung? Wooyoung. I called his phone and he answered after a few rings.
"Hey, Jinnie!" He beamed. "What's up?"
"Can I crash on your couch for a few days?" I awkwardly asked as I started to drive.
