To Be Loved... (BOOK 1)

A Shift

A month and a half had passed and things never went back to normal the way some of us had hoped. Felix and I were perfectly fine which I was beyond grateful for. So were Jisung and Minho unsurprisingly. Everyone else? It could be better.

Wooyoung and San didn't have any issues, but they had reached that stage where San wanted to spend time with his friends, but there was a lack of balance. A major lack of balance. He went from being with Wooyoung five to six days a week to one. Wooyoung assumed he was losing interest and it's been tearing him apart ever since. I've told him to talk to San about it, but he refuses in fear of hearing something he doesn't want to.

Seonghwa has been distant from just about everyone other than Minho. But he could only be so close for Jisung's sake. I know there's jealousy hidden in there somewhere, but he's kept quiet. Seonghwa and Hongjoong speak sporadically from what I've heard.

And as for Yunho and Mingi...

Karina broke up with Mingi a week after the New Year's Eve party. Her reasoning was if Yunho was in his life, she wouldn't be. This may or may not have led to a fist fight in the hallway at school that ended up in two weeks worth of out of school suspension. Mingi blames it all on Yunho.

So I guess you could say our massive group of friends has lessened.

But how am I doing on my mission to completely change the person I was? I'd say I'm just about there. I've been busy, that's for sure. Rarely home, always with friends, some new and some old. Life is good. I'm good.

Everything...is good.

"I'm shocked you never invite Felix." Ryujin exhaled the smoke from her lips and handed me the blunt we've been passing around.

"He's been busy." I shrugged, inhaling and feeling the effects run through my body. "He's got a lot of friends too." If I'm being honest, he's rarely busy, but of course I see him as much as I can.

"I thought you were in this big group of friends, no?" Jiung asked once I passed it to him next.

"We are. Things have just been different. Just some drama."

"Spill, I like drama." Soyeon smirked.

"It's a lot." I shrugged, not really wanting to spend all that time explaining my business.

"I only know about what happened with Shuhua and Hongjoong." She said.

"I heard all about that too." Jiung rolled his eyes, taking another hit. Keeho is his best friend so of course he would know. "I told him it was fucked up."

"Yeah, but she told me Hongjoong was getting weird."

"Weird how?" I couldn't imagine Hongjoong mistreating a girl.

"He just got really clingy and was interested in things she wasn't so they basically didn't have anything to talk about anymore. Plus he said some weird things she didn't like."

"Like what?"

"Like geek shit." She avoided what I was really asking which I found weird. I rolled my eyes and sighed. I bet that 'geek shit' is the same exact stuff Seonghwa is interested in though anyway. But she took my reaction as if I was on Shuhua's side.

"Keeho still likes her and they haven't had issues from what he's told me." Jiung shrugged, finally passing it to Soyeon.

"She does too." Soyeon nodded. "They're cute, but I'll keep it at that."

Ryujin was quiet as she texted away on her phone. "Sorry, Yeji's texting me."

"Something up?"

"No, she's just freaking out because she doesn't think Yeonjun is gonna do something for Valentine's Day."
