Family

Eve's pov

We reached to the destination where the party is taking place, it's a huge mansion, completely exclusive and architectural wonder, my eyes left surprised at the first glance, it was screaming 'rich' in my face obviously scaring the shit out of me, my hands were shivering my heart beat never relaxed, I'm beginning to sweat on forehead, I can't do this.

I felt a warm touch on my hands, Anthony observed my anxious and held my hand
"I'm here my love, I'll not leave you" he assured me with a comforting smile which seems to work, my heart slowly coming to it's normal condition.

"You take your time, we'll go whenever you're ready" I squeezed his hand.
He came closer to me, I hugged his arm very tightly resting my head on his shoulder. He kissed me on forehead and my hand comforting me in his way, he was so calm not tensed at all.

After a few minutes I adjusted myself to the surroundings, inhaled deeply and looked at him, he gave me a sweet smile like he understood that I'm ready to go.
He gave me a peck on my cheek and asked the driver to open the door.

He lead me to the entrance never leaving my hand for a second. As we are about to enter inside the mansion he grabbed my waist distracting me from my anxiety.

There was already so many people inside, the mansion was even bigger inside with large bling chandeliers, artifacts and expensive interiors. The place smelled so nice and inviting.
I held my purse so tightly, everyone looked at us in surprise most likely at him holding an unknown girl by waist.

I really don't know many of them except some of my colleagues from work, my head started to spin upon seeing all these people in designer clothes and extraordinary jewellery, it was a small relief when I spotted Mr.Brown.

Anthony took me to a group of people who were almost about our age and introduced me to them
"Hey guys, this is Eva scott, my girl" everyone was like "ooohh" when he said "my girl"
They all cheered him, praises and hugs and fist bums. Wow instant approval I like it. Frey was also there but he seemed relaxed than usual.

"Eve these are my cousins obviously you could see, very naughty and reckless people" he laughed playful

"Not cool bro is this how you introduce us to our soon-to-be member of our family " they all sound not so happy

'Soon-to-be family member' my heart skip a beat at those words.

"So this is what has been keeping you busy these days huh" Frey smirked at him.
Anthony replied him with a wink.

Mr.Brown stole me from Anthony and took me to meet some people, they were all about Mr.Brown's age

"Meet miss Eva scott, she is one of the best and trending interior designer in the city as we speak, and I'm very proud to say she works with us, she's like my daughter." He proudly presented me which actually surprised me because Mr.Brown doesn't praise anyone usually but yes he's like my Godfather.

There was this one man in that group who didn't talk much, he kept on looking at me holding champagne in his hand. It felt kind of creepy but I remained professional.
That's when Anthony came to us and held my hand,
"Hello Mr.Brown how you enjoying the party" he enquired Mr.Brown
"Yes Anthony it is indeed a great part" Mr.Brown complimented

"Hi dad" he said going for a hug to that odd looking man

"DAD" ohhh myyy goddd
I was left in shock, my eyes widened as big as they can be, my heart dropped to the floor, I became stiff like a rock.

"I guess you have already met Eve" Anthony asked his dad
"Yes indeed we did, Mr.Brown is all praises for her" his dad replied

Anthony nudged with  me a little with his shoulder from behind while clearing his throat in order to snap me out of my shock.

I snapped out of it and forwarded my hand which was terribly shaking
"Hh.. Hello s...sir" I tried to speak but my throat felt dry all of a sudden.

"Nice to meet you Miss Eva" he however not gave any attention to my nervousness.
All of the other people left us, it was me, Anthony and his dad now.
They talked about something for sometime while I remained total silent then he went to meet some other people.

I took a deep breath after he left, Anthony laughed to tease me.
"Not funny" I rolled my eyes

The party was about to end everyone congratulated Frey's parents some gave speeches and after dinner everyone started leaving the party.
