The kiss

Eve's pov

I gave him directions to reach my home, he followed me to the entrance

We entered inside,
"Whoa" he sounded surprised

"What happened?"
"Are you sure we didn't miss a turn, I think we came to a nursery!"
"Stop it okay, I love plants"
"So you created a jungle in your home" he teased me for which I rolled my eyes.

He seem impressed as we reached to the living room.
"Nice, how do you find time to arrange this masterpiece"
I chuckled and said "for this I have plenty of time"

"Do you want to freshen up?" I offered him hospitality politely, after all he's a special uninvited boss/friend guest.
"Yup"
I showed him the way to the bathroom

Anthony's pov

I was quite impressed by the way she decorated her home, it was lovely, she chose soothing colours, and there are a lot of plants, literally ALOT I mean there is a plant in every corner I see.
I entered the bathroom oh my God there is a plant here too not just one, she set up little plants in between the spaces of the shelves, frankly I have never seen some of these plants.

I came to the living room and found her standing with two coffee mugs in her hands.
"Here " she handed one.
"Did you make it?" I asked surprisingly
"Yes" she replied and walked towards her bedroom
"You can do your work now,help yourself if you need anything, find a comfortable place to set up your laptop, I'll freshen up and come" she gestured to the kitchen and went to her room
My eyes followed her, kind of urging me to follow her

She went inside and closed the door
I found the couch cozy and dive into my work

She took her time, few minutes later I heard a click of lock open, my imagination fired up thinking how she'd be now, coming out of the shower water dripping from her body.....
"Anthony shake it off" I murmered under my breath trying to shake off these thoughts.

She came out of her room my head automatically turned towards her.
She wore an oversized t-shirt and shorts whose edges are brushing her slim yet full thighs, stopping my breath for a moment. She didn't even looked at me, if she saw me I would've caught.

She usually wears jeans or long pencil skirts kind of clothes for work, so I've never seen her like this. She was right I'm really invading her privacy.

When she reached the living room I quickly turned to my laptop and pretend like I didn't notice her. Creep

"Hi" she said standing in front of me
"Hey" my tone changed a little, suddenly my throat dried.

"You wanna eat something " she asked me, she has no idea what she's doing to me just by standing there.

"Yeah, shall we order something?" I asked reaching for my phone.
"No I'll make something" she replied casually
"Wait you can cook?" This girl is giving me shocks
"Yeah what's the big deal? What do you want to eat"
"Uhhhmm anything " my head is not working properly
"Would you like to eat soup?"
"Yeah sure" I replied with a full smile

"How's your work going, is my couch comfortable?" She asked me while searching for something

"Yeah very.." I replied
"Is it okay if I turn on some music" she asked me so cutely.

*Don't make that cute face your already making it so hard for me* my brain whispered in my head

"I mean if you won't feel disturbed " she asked with a pout
*I'm already disturbed *"stop it" I cursed my brain

"No I'm good"

She turned on the music and went inside the kitchen, my heart followed her my feet begging me to follow my heart too.

She was humming and singing while preparing something in the kitchen, she groove to the music in between.

I can't control anymore, my feet dragged me to her because clearly I'm in no position to focus on work. This is it, today I'm going to blow it. 'Don't do this, you'll regret it' a voice inside my brain sending warning signals. 'What if she doesn't feel as you do'. "Stop it" I said to myself and continued my pace.

I went into the kitchen, stood behind her making no sound. It has become my usual, that's how I met her for the first time and today I almost hugged her doing the same.

She was humming and stirring the soup, she has no idea, suddenly her back stiffened. she felt my presence and turned quickly
She looked into my eyes her face turned pink instantly and I smiled at her. I noticed what my presence so close did to her, she blushed and turned into a peach, I like being this close to her. actually my heart forcing me to close this gap.

She stuttered while saying " uh what are you doing" trying to hide her expressions from me.

I moved to the side "I came to see if I can help you with something"

she cleared her throat "Do you know how to cook" pointed a spoon at me.
"Nope but I could try"
She chuckled a little and said" have you ever seen a chopping board" she continued her teasing

I laughed in agreement too

She continued her cooking but I stood there watching her, my eyes glued to her beautiful face. they moved with her. I know she felt my gaze on her I know I was making her uncomfortable but I couldn't help it.
She walked past me to take something, this time my hands acted involuntarily
I held her hand, she stopped and looked at me, her eyes questioning me

I pulled her to me, she gasped in surprise
I put a strand of a hair behind her ear she stared into my eyes, our hearts beating so loud her face turned to bright pink, I moved my head further to kiss her.

The moment my lips touched hers a frenz ran through my body, like a volt of electricity ignited in every nerve of my body.
I sensed her body did the same thing to her too. I awaited for the restrain, thought she'd push me away. A ray of fear lingered for all this would end so badly. But she clung to my hold,
She held my shirt tightly I let go of her hand grabbed her waist pulling her even closer to me. I kissed her softly not hurting her lips I played on her lips with mine for which she smiled a little. Surprised and happy, now I know what she felt too so I did not stop it. Cannot stop it. My body reacted to her touch, in a way I've never experienced. This frenzy, my heart felt full, satisfied. I took the liberty and squeezed her closer, fulfilling the urge my body has been begging me to close any gap between us. She didn't protest and I went crazy.
I caught her lower lip and deepend the kiss, she hugged me tighter, I loved this action between us. We kissed until we both became breathless and let go of each other lips to catch a breath, I looked into her eyes not leaving her from my grip. She didn't let go of me too.
