"Eve is in my life whether you like it or not" I stated my decision nonchalantly

Before my dad tried to speak my mom intervened and tried to convince me.
"We are not your enemies Anthony, we just want to make sure that you are taking the right choices for your life" she explained in a calm tone

"I mean you are a young, successful businessman, any girl would see you as an opportunity, whatever decisions you take for your life will also affect all of us, not just our reputation but everything" she tried her best to reason with me.

"Mom I've seen those girls whome you have described and I gave them what they expected from me, my Eve is nothing like those girls" I paused and held her hands in mine assuring her with my guts
"She is the most strong and independent girl I have ever seen, I know there are millions of independent girls out there but I'm damn sure there's none like Eve"

My mom nodded her head in a way that she trusts me but my dad remained grumpy in his place

"Still I think you are not ready for a commitment like this, you're still young and I'm sure there's plenty of time to find a girl for yourself " my dad spoke again

How ridiculous? Seriously? I didn't know he could be this dumb!

I was disgusted by he's poor choice of words
I tilted my head in his way with such a disgusting look for display, I hope that answered his judgement.
Still I want to answer him, so I went straight to him stood in front of, locked my stare with his and said

" You didn't think I wasn't ready to take up an entire empire of business on my shoulders just about when I finished my education but now, now you think I'm not ready for a committed relationship" I mocked him with a reckless laugh and clapped twice on his face

"I'm disappointed, You should have prepared better dad"
There.  I'm done I don't think there's anything else to say now so I stormed out of the room not giving them a chance to utter another word.
