Chapter 1

Shawn Mendes

"SHAWN!!!! Mom wants you to wake up!" Aaliyah my younger sister yelled.

I groaned as she slammed the door and I stomped into the bathroom.

I splashed cold water on my face and sniffed a white t-shirt.

I tied my black vans and walked downstairs as the sight of my empty pool caught my eye.

It was the first day after summer break and let's just say I wasn't excited about it.

I excepted my mothers traditional blueberry pancakes and ate them while completely ignore my sister and I's conversation.

My mother forcefully drove me to school and I walked up to my 2/1 friends.

"Hey Shawn" Jake said.

"How was your break?" Ryan asked.

"Fine if you count Aaliah's non-stop talking and the fact that I'm being either stalked or haunted"

"What?"

"I saw a girl in the forest yesterday-"

"Was she hot?" Jake interrupted me.

"Bro.."

"Is that all you care about?"

"I haven't kissed a girl in 6 months I'm so desperate I'm actually considering dating Shawn's mom" I elbowed him.

"Kay anyways I blinked and she disappeared"

"It was probably all in your head" Ryan said.

"No she was real"

"Did you hear her walk away" Jacob-a guy I hate that literally crashed into my life and won't leave- asked.

"No"

"Well then it's all in your imagination" I roll my eyes.

The bell rang, "See you later dude" they walked away.

I decided to get or class and I bumped into a girl.

"Oh sorry" I said picking up her books and I handed them to her as she rose from the ground.

I stared at her worn out sneakers until I realized how awkward this looked and decided to get up.

"Nice to see you again-I mean that sounds stalky- umm what's your name"

"North" she said awkwardly.

"I'm Shawn" I said.

"Kay" she nodded and walked away and threw my head back in regret.

I tried to look back and find her again but the crowd carried her away
