I woke up and put on the first thing that smelt good and let my mom drive me to school.
I got to school and walked to my locker, I glanced at North standing alone.
She seemed sad or was she just mysterious I want to help her. I want to find her. There's something different.
I got lost in her eyes before my locker slammed shut and I almost fell.
I looked up and my vision revealed the oh-so-wonderful Jacob Smith.
"DIBS" he yelled.
"On what" I said taking a sip of my water.
"On North" I choked and started coughing.
"Dude you can't dibs a human being"
"She's pretty, nice, real, she's perfect"
"Exactly why you can't dibs her"
"Yes I can" he said.
"No you can't"
"Yes I can"
"No you can't"
"Yes I can"
"No you can't"
"Let's just see which one she likes better then!" He said.
"We're not in a fricken movie we can't do that"
"What's stopping us?" He said.
"Fine." I walked away and sat down in history class.
The teacher started talking and my mind started wandering.
See a little/big part of me knows that North if anything doesn't like me more than Jacob or anyone.
So I gotta do this.
Yes I know it's wrong to toy with peoples emotions but One. Becca isn't a person. and Two Jacob keeps testing me so this will teach him not to screw with me.
I had study hall next which I took advantage of to talk to Becca.
"Hey Becca" I greeted her in the hall.
"Oh hey Shawn"
"Can we talk for a second?" I asked
"Yeah she stopped"
"So um do you have a boyfriend"
"No"
"Do you have anyone you..you know..Like?"
"Oh Shawn.." she said and I gave her a confusing look.
"Your a really nice guy and stuff but I'm just not interested. Your not my type and you gotta admit I'm kinda out of your league. So yeah Im sorry.. but hey you know who would like you? My sister.. Bessie. She's really.. nice and your both really ugly so you should hit it off"
I stayed silent.
"Kay one I don't like you. Two Jacob does. surprisingly. And he wanted me to ask you if you'd be his girlfriend?"
"Why couldn't he ask me?"
"Cause he's really shy-Now yes or no!"
"But I saw him ask out Katie last month"
"That was a dare and he's head over heels in love with you"
"Okay?" she shrugged. "Yes! I mean great" I said and walked away.
Maybe that was luck but I'll take that as a sign
