Y/N's POV
The Cartier store you were heading for was the one at COEX and that presented a problem. You had to walk through the mall -a huge mall- and that alone posed the risk of Tae and Jimin getting mobbed and even of Seojun being recognized.
“Seojunah?”
“Yes, miss Y/N?”
“How are we going to do this? I mean…if I'm seen going into Cartier with you, people will talk and rumors will fly.”
“Don't worry, we have a plan.” He smiled at you on the rearview mirror before continuing. “No one knows this car. I will drop you off at the bay in front of the mall. From there is just a short walk to Cartier, it's on the right.” You nodded. “I'll park the car and do a quick change of clothes. Basically just losing the suit jacket and tie, putting on a denim jacket, a cap and a facemask and I'll meet you at the store.”
“When you get there, all you have to do is go to any of the clerks and say you're there on behalf of Hybe. They'll ask you a question and you must answer with “42”, then they'll take you to the VIP room and I'll time my arrival to five minutes after you, you won't be alone in there for long. Taehyungie and Jimminie will come after the store closes.”
“42?” You were confused.
Seojun shrugged. “It was Namjoona's idea. He said that 42 is the answer to the most important question in the universe.”
You laughed out loud. Of course it had to be Namjoon! “Got it. He's really smart.”
“You understand what he's talking about?” He now looked confused and surprised.
“I do, actually. Araso, thank you for thinking about everything down to the tee.”
“This reminds me. Yoongi-ya said that you forgot to pick a coat for the dress, but that if you don't mind, he'll pick one for you?”
That was right! It completely slipped your mind and you would definitely need one, the nights were slowly getting colder. “That's fine, he can pick it, just…tell him not to go overboard with the price, please. In fact, tell him that I can even wear one I already have. He'll say no, but it has to be said.”
He chuckled. “Yoongi-ya is not one to be irresponsible with his money. He's very…cautious, but with you…I think he wants to pamper you and he doesn't know how. His love language is actions and feeding people.”
“Yeah, I know. He's lovable all around.” You were just getting to the mall. “Don't get the door for me. Someone might see.”
“You have a way of finding loopholes for me, not opening doors for you. But I'll make sure to do it next time.”
“You're on!” You both laughed. It was nice to be this comfortable around Seojun.
He stopped on the little bay and you got out, mask on and hoodie up. The truth was that nobody was staring at you, they weren't even noticing you and you couldn't help but feel relief upon that. You realized that this calmness would soon end. The moment your relationship was public…so was your image.
Shaking your head to rid it of such thoughts, you quickly headed inside the mall and walked briskly towards Cartier. You knew where it was, you had walked by it a hundred times, had admired the displays from outside, you had never been inside, but you had wished you could buy something there.
You probably could've afforded something simple, you made decent money, but there simply was no way to justify that expense when you hardly wore jewelry to begin with, just earrings and the occasional chain and ring. Besides, you weren't about to jump on the Bart back in San Francisco wearing a ring that could cost up to one month of your mortgage and be a clear target for muggers. No sir.
