Y/N's POV

“Well Mr. Bang, I think we had a positive and productive meeting. Is there anything else you'd like to know? Any questions or doubts?” You said as you gathered up the papers that had been scattered on your desk, purposely avoiding his gaze because you knew, you knew he was waiting to strike and that the second you locked eyes with him, your stare would be nothing but confrontational. It was your go to look.

“Actually, miss Y/LN,” You hadn't asked him to call you by your name and you wouldn't be doing it any time soon, there were boundaries you wanted to keep. BTS was family but to you,  Si-Hyuk was more like the stepfather, at least for now.

“I wanted to apologize for everything that happened with your ex.”

“Hans. Call him that or any other name you want, but only I can call him my ex, I'm the one dealing with the repercussions of my mistake, it feels like salt on the wound when someone else points it out.” Your words were coming out with a little bit more teeth than intended, but you were in protective mode.

“Fair enough. I wanted to apologize for everything that happened with that son of a bitch,” he said it with such conviction that it earned him a few brownie points with you, “believe me when I tell you that, had I known his background, he wouldn't have ever set foot in any of the Hybe offices, much less work near the guys or you. It was a fuck up on Scooter's part,” it really did surprise you the way he was speaking, but all in all, you could feel he was also outraged on your behalf, “and he has been warned about it.”

That bit made even you feel scared. Si-Hyuk had power.

“That being said, I wanted to tell you in person that I have never seen Yoongi as happy as he is with you, he's never been as in love either,” he smiled at the way you blushed, “you've been amazing and great for him and there's no way any of us who love him can thank you for it.”

Without really thinking about it you blurted out, “ha, tell that to my in-laws.”

He laughed and you realized what you said. “Omo! I'm sorry, I shouldn't have said that. It's disrespectful.”

“It's okay. The Mins can be…difficult, especially Mrs. Min, but believe me, she'll come around. I've heard that Mr. Park is quite taken with you and both Kookie's and Taehyungie's moms have expressed how good you are. Hell, the entire security team is attached to you already, it's only a matter of time before they realize it too.” It seemed that he was more at ease before you now and that made you lower your wall a little bit.

“You really think so?” It was a short vulnerable moment, but you had to ask.

“I know so.” His smile was reassuring. “Now, about the party on Friday, I wanted to ask you for a favor. I can't ask Yoongi because he will take it the wrong way.”

“Tell me.”

“Would it be possible for you not to interact that much directly with Yoongi during the listening part and the meal part of the party? Once the actual party begins, you have free reign to do as you please. You guys are going public a few hours after anyway.”

You frowned. You were expecting something like this, but if there was going to be a time when you could act like his girlfriend, why put the restriction at all? “Why until then?”

“Because by then, the press will be gone, only VIPs are allowed to stay for the actual party and they all know not to post any pictures on social media that could compromise other artists. Idols respect each other's privacy since they're all under the same scrutiny.” It was sad but true.

“I see…I understand. I will, don't worry. I wanted to ask something too, if I may.”

“By all means.” He gestured with his hand for you to go ahead.
