Yoongi's POV
Yoongi couldn't sleep. He was up most of the night, just holding you close and basking in the feeling of being with you.
He had been so nervous about “meeting” your parents that he had been a stuttering mess the past few days. Finally, Yi Jeong asked him what was wrong and he told him. It had been hilarious to watch him repeat the lines he taught him like a kid memorizing the lesson. For a few panicky minutes, Yoongi entertained the idea that his friend could've pulled a prank on him and taught him how to say something embarrassing, but his phone's translator proved that his friend was solid.
The way he had spoiled the surprise he was planning for your birthday made him think that he could rival Tae and Namjoon for the title of king of spoilers and he gave a little chuckle. You fidgeted in your sleep and he held you tighter. You needed your sleep.
Yoongi hoped that your parents would agree to come to the States. He really wanted to meet them and he knew it wouldn't be possible any time soon if they didn't meet halfway. He also knew that it would make you so happy to be with your whole family and he wanted nothing more than your happiness. If your parents couldn't make it, he'd try to make something work soon.
At around eight a.m., Yoongi woke up. He was surprised that you were still sleeping. You didn't usually sleep in and you had trouble sleeping, which made him think that maybe being with him was what helped you and he felt good.
Being careful not to stir you awake he got up, went to the bathroom and took a quick shower. He wanted to cook breakfast for you, for when you were ready to wake up. He dressed in sweats and a t-shirt and headed to the kitchen.
He prepared eggs and bacon and, by Hobi's suggestion, he had stocked up on tangerine juice. Apparently you loved it and had gone for it after the events with the asshole. Yoongi refused to acknowledge his name or give him any more attention. The only time when he'd pay attention again would be when he went to trial and then to rot in prison. His main focus was on you.
After about ten minutes he heard you shuffling towards the kitchen. When you came through the door Yoongi almost melted at the sight of you. Your hair was a bit wild, your eyes were half closed and your face was puffy with sleep. It was the sweetest thing he had ever seen.
He went to you and pulled you by your waist. “Good morning gorgeous, did you sleep well?” He went to peck your lips and you pulled back.
“Morning breath,” you said.
He rolled his eyes and grunted. “Baby, You know. I don't care about that.”
“But I do, so no kisses until I've brushed my teeth.” You craned your neck to see over his shoulder. “Is that bacon I smell? I'm starving.”
Yoongi laughed. “Well then you woke up at exactly the right time. Breakfast is ready princess, sit down. I'll pour some juice for you. But immediately after breakfast you're brushing your teeth and giving me a kiss. It's cruel that you won't kiss me.” His pout was as honest as they came.
Breakfast was a quiet event, you were still very sleepy but your face looked more rested than how Yoongi had seen it in the past week. You also ate quite a bit, which made him even happier, that's why he hardly spoke, he didn't want to take your attention away from your much needed sustenance.
“Do you want some more coffee or juice, love?” He asked when you were done with your food.
“No baby, that's okay. This breakfast was everything I needed and more. I didn't realize how hungry I was when I woke up, but I truly was. Thank you.”
“This is what happens when you actually sleep for more than 5 hours, love. I'm glad you did. Now, please, go clean up while I do the dishes, because I'm dying here. I need to kiss you.”
