Y/N's POV

You sat on your bed for a good ten minutes, waiting for both your heart and your breathing to stop racing. That had been a powerful nightmare, if Tae hadn't woken you up, you would be in an even worse state.

Ever since Friday, the nightmares had come back with a vengeance. The guys had been privy to some of it when they spent the night and you screamed your lungs out without waking up. That was the worst: not being able to wake up. You didn't take the sleeping meds for that particular reason, they were too damn strong.

When the nightmares more or less stopped after a solid year of therapy, you were only on anxiety meds, the sleeping pills were for emergencies only. You never expected that you would need them in Korea. Whenever you spent the night with Yoongi, you slept through the night, without waking up. You even were able to fall asleep at a decent hour and you knew it was because he was with you.

You never had that with Hans. After the first few years, you never slept peacefully. Never.

There was no way you were going to go back to sleep easily, even when you were groggy thanks to the meds, your mind was still stronger and it was bound to keep you up. So a cup of tea it was…you really wanted a drink, but you knew better.

Upon stepping out of your room, you were surprised to find Tae sitting on the couch and looking at his phone. He stood up at once when he saw you.

“Noona? Gwenchana? Do you need anything?”

“Gwenchana, gwenchana. I'm just going to get some tea. I…I can't go back to sleep.”

“Oh…I'm sorry… Hyung said I had to wake you up and you were screaming and moaning. I didn't think it would cause you to not fall asleep afterwards.”

You shook your head,Tae's eyes were round, almost like a kid's who was caught doing something wrong. “Not your fault. In fact, I'm glad you woke me up. Thank you, Taehyungie.” You gave a slight bow, “why are you awake and sitting in the dark though? Is something wrong?”

It was his turn to shake his head. “I'm keeping watch.”

“What do you mean?”

“I'm staying here until I know for sure that you're back asleep and that you're not having nightmares. I can sleep in the morning. I have it off anyways.” He gave you a very disarming boxy smile that rather than warm you, it sort of broke your heart.

“Taehyungie…no. You need to rest. You have a night shoot tomorrow and it's already eleven. Please, go to bed. I'll just make myself some tea and go back to bed, I promise.”

“I could drink some tea,” he added with yet another smile.

You couldn't help but think again how Yoongi was right and the maknaes, not really kids anymore but grown men, could get away with anything just by giving you puppy eyes or a smile. It wasn't fair.

“Come on then. I must warn you though, I'm not making traditional tea. I'm brewing linden tea.” Tae jumped up and diligently followed you to the kitchen, watching you fill the electric kettle and preparing the teapot with loose dried flowers.

“What's that?”

“It's a plant used to soothe your nerves and help with insomnia, it's very common in Latin America,” you said as you prepared the mugs and the napkins, “it's a bit bitter so you can add honey if you want.”

“Are you going to add honey?” He looked genuinely curious about it.

“No. No sugar or it won't serve its purpose. Although to be fair, linden hasn't worked on me in years, I still drink it when I'm shaken up though. It might not calm an anxiety attack or help me sleep, but it does…how do I put it?” You thought about how to properly explain how it made you feel in korean. “It helps to lower the steam in my head?”
