"Dad, can I talk to you?" Beth requested.
"Sure, B." Puck nodded. "What's up?"
"Well, I was talking to Aunt Sarah and Uncle Jake about my wedding." Beth began. "And we all think that maybe you should bring a date."
"A date?" Puck repeated.
"Yeah, you know, like a lady you can dance with?" Beth stated.
Puck furrowed his eyebrows and made a face.
"You're young, you're handsome." Beth reminded Puck. "And you're rich and famous. I mean, it can't be that hard for you."
"It's not." Puck said. "But I already had the person I wanted."
"Dad." Beth looked at Puck. "Mom's been gone for five years. And I love her and miss her every day, too, but she would want you to be happy."
Puck went to speak, but Beth continued.
"You've barely worked on new music and you haven't been on any dates and... we don't want you to be so lonely."
"I'm not lonely." Puck promised.
"Please, Dad." Beth requested. "Mom would want you to be happy. She would want you to move on."
"I don't wanna be with anyone else, B." Puck stated. "I'm fine on my own."
"Even for just one night?" Beth asked.
"Even for just one night." Puck confirmed. "I appreciate you worrying about me, but I'm good. I promise."
"Okay."
