6.Meeting The Kunwaries

Samragyi Mahal East Side of ShtriMahal...

In the evening...

The ladies of ShtriMahal were called in the Samragyi Mahal. They came together and was led  in the meeting chamber of the mahal. As soon as they stepped inside their eyes were blinded by the exquisite look of the chamber. Though all the decorations of the ShtriMahal are exorbitant but the Samragyi Mahal if different. The antique decorations placed in the chamber was extravagant. Suddenly they felt their hearts were filling with envy. All of this luxuries should be meant for them yet they could only stare at it with jealousy in their heart.

It was Isha who led them inside the meeting chamber. They saw a woman was sitting on the red chaise lounge was patting a ball like thing. Hearing the rustling sound the ball moved spreading its arms and looked at them. They gasped, it was not actually ball but a cat. It has the dark brown  and white colour with black strips on its body. It looked at them with its yellow eyes before growling.

"Calm down Lynx" Nandini patted the head making it place his head on her lap in relaxing mood. Her eyes went towards the three woman standing infront of her with surprised expression.

"Since we are all living in the same palace and same roof, I thought it would be better if we could live in peace. I hope the Kunwaries are not disturbed by the sudden call" Nandini started to say.

"We are not bothered Samragyi" Sambhara said after calming herself down. "We respect Samragyi's kind intention" she bowed and others followed the lead.

Nandini nodded her head, "I really appreciate your smartness. It's a shame that on my first day I had to punish Ananti Kunwari. She will be living seperately for time being. Her etiquette is not presentable enough so she had to learn properly" she smiled, "of course, it doesn't mean I am blaming her, there are some things which people learns lately or learns after taking a lesson. My heart clenched to punish her like this but as a Samragyi, for her well being and thinking about the future I had to do it. I expect that you all know what I am talking about"

"Yes,Samragyi, we understand" this time Maya replied. She clenched her fist secretly and put a small smile on her face. This new Samragyi is what she expected. She seems kind and gentle but looking at her personality, she knows the Samragyi is not someone easygoing. Then her eyes fell on the big cat which sounds more harsher like tigers in the wild than normal cat's mew.

"Enlighten me with your names"

"I am Sambhara" Shambhara said without wasting any time. Then Maya and Dhiti also introduced their names accordingly.

Nandini looked at them with her sharp gaze and picturised their faces in her mind. After few moments she smiled. "My name is Nandini, I am glad to see you all so well behaved. I guess Samrat will really appreciate you"

"Thank you" They said in unison.

"Samragyi, I have a request to make" Maya said in her mild tone.

"Request?" Nandini raised her head.

"Yes, if you please allow me, I would like to visit my maiden home"

"Oh, I didn't know Maya Kunwari detested my presence so much that you want leave the palace when I just arrived" Nandini said in serious tone.

Maya was shocked hearing her. She calmed herself down before replying quickly, "Please forgive me for making you feel like that Samragyi. Tomorrow is my mother's birthday, so I wanted to wish her personally" she said gritting her teeth.

"Ah, looks like I have mistaken your kind intention" Nandini nodded, "since it's a matter of joy, you should go and meet her"

"Thank you" Maya showed her gratitude.
