The morning sky was clear and the weather was cool. Nandini woke up early. When she walked out of the door, she could feel the fresh air of the morning. The weather of the village was different from the capital. The capital was more bustling and crowdy where the freshness of the sor lost somewhere.
"Prizzi isn't it fresh?" Isha asked.
"The weather is really good. Alas! The capital doesn't have such atmosphere" Nandini sighed.
"Samragyi?"
Nandini turned her head to see Pramita was standing there with cloths in her hand.
"Pradhan bharya?"
Pramita walked towards her, "I expected that you have woken up. So I brought you some cloths for bath"
Purna accepted the pair of cloths then retreated behind Nandini. Nandini smiled at Pramita. It's not that she lack cloths but since Pramita brought it for her she really couldn't reject the gesture.
"Where do you usually take bath?"
"In the pond" Pramita replied instantly. "In tradition the one who is going to do Puja in the temple should bath in the pond near the rock mountain. It said the water of the pond will cleanse the body and make the body pure. There's also some story behind this pond water. To put it simply, the pond wasn't made by anyone but it was there even before this village was located and built"
"Even before the village was built?" Nandini repeated the words.
Pramita nodded, "yes, no one knows how it was built. Because the structure of the pond and the way it was always filled with water was really surprising. The water never dries in winter or get dirty by any means. It always stays clean like crystal clear"
Hearing her words Nandini felt quite excited. She gave a nod, "okay then, I shall take a bath in the pond. Since we are following all the rules and customs then why should leave one?"
Pramita was also surprised. To be honest, as a Samragyi Nandini could just ask for the water of the pond and take a bath privately. Though bathing in the pond was normal, but Nandini wasn't the ordinary girl of the village, she was the Samragyi of Gangghor, the highest position holder after Samrat. So hearing the agreement, Pramita couldn't help but feel surprise in her heart.
"Yes, of course. I will lead the way" Pramita replied with a happy smile. Soon the group went to the rock mountain pond behind the temple location. Though the temple was located mostly in the middle of the village but it was surrounded by the high rocks which was spread almost covering half of the village area. So the pond was hidden by the rock walls.
The group went behind the temple and walked down the stairs built to reach the pond water. The pond was located in the downwards from the ground level.
"I hope Samragyi won't mind walking down a bit" Pramita smiled apologetically.
Nandini looked at the black stone stairs they were descending slowly, "how many steps are here?"
"It's about 30" Pramita replied.
Nandini looked at her 30 steps? She didn't asked anything after that and soon they could see the pond water. The sunlight was falling in the water which making the water looks like precious diamond.
"It's really beautiful" Nandini said looking around. The pond was surrounded by the heavy rock. Few flower plants are growing through the little space of the rock walls. There's also steps built to reach the water level of the pond.
"Samragyi, let's bath first" Pramita said and Nandini nodded. Isha and Purna helped Nandini changed her cloths to take the bath.
