8. Shanti Picking On Samragyi

Nandini frowned, she though heard about this person and Samrat himself warned her about it, but what confusing is she don't know what kind of person is this Shanti except for fact that she was called Kakishree by the Samrat. Kashmira noticed her expression as she said suddenly.

"Shanti is my bhabhishree, the wife of my second brother Rajendra Bhaishree. After Bhaishree took the throne she become the new Samragyi. But she couldn't stay in her position for long because Bhaishree died because of his illness. And as the throne passed to Manik before he took the last breath, Bhabishree had to leave her position and since Manik is not her own son. She couldn't get the position of Rajmata and become Rajrani instead " Kashmira explained.

Nandini got the point after hearing it. She looked at Kashmira, "don't Kakashree has any child?"

"Of course, they has a son and his name is Chandrakant. He is 3 years younger than Manik. You didn't see him because he never stays in Gangghor for a long time. He was always wandering around trying to explore new things"

"Trying to explore new things?" Nandini felt it funny. The Rajkunwar of Gangghor is wandering outside like a voyager?This little information couldn't settle in her heart smoothly. Knowing the fact how crafty the Samrat is, his cousin couldn't be simple person afterall. But she wasn't going to pressure herself with this thought. For what kind of person Chandrakant is, she will know it when she gets the chance to meet him. And this matter could be put in rest for the time being.

"Since she is here, we need to cut the tour short" Kashmira said breaking her thoughts. Nandini just nodded her head and followed Kashmira out of the room. Today Isha and Medha was with her. They went to the meeting hall and saw a woman was already there, sitting with her sevikas and enjoying tea. She has brown skin with long black hair. Her skin looked more cold along with her expression.

"Bhabishree" Kashmira walked towards her.

Shanti looked up but there's no smile or happy expression on her face. She got up lazily and hugged Kashmira.

"I am glad you finally decided to return home" Kashmira said after breaking the hug. They took seat and Kashmira introduced Nandini to her, "Bhabishree, meet her, she is Nandini, the new Samragyi"

"Pranam Kakishree" Nandini said.

Shanti seized her up with eyes before narrowing it slightly, "the new Samragyi" her voice sounded like a cold sneer. "Since Manik made you the new Samragyi then which royalty you belong to?" She asked.

Nandini showed an troubled expression on her face, "I am not from any royalty"

Shanti frowned, "huh? Not from royalty? Then how did you seduced Manik to make him give you this position?"

Seduce? She questioned herself. Who is willing to seduce such tricky cold bastard? If it wasn't for the fact she needed to cure the poison in her body she wouldn't have wasted her time here and wouldn't have been here at all.

"Bhabishree what are you saying?" Kashmira gasped. She knew that Shanti was always a rude person. She wouldn't think of the other person will be hurt or not, but she would saw her arrogance and treat everyone like they are all her servants. This is what Kashmira hates the most. Whether Shanti likes it or not, Nandini is the Samragyi now and the supreme ruler of ShtriMahal, though Shanti is an elder but her position is still lower than Nandini. And Nandini can use her Samragyi position to order for an punishment for such rudeness.

Isha and Medha who was standing behind Nandini suddenly raged hearing the words. They frowned as their gaze pierced Shanti. Nandini raised her hand and waved it a little making them lower their head. It was a small gesture but Kashmira noticed it clearly. She was quite surprised at the behaviour of Nandini's sevikas. They looked like they are about to pounce on Shanti like a predator do on its prey.
