Nandini stared at the man in distaste. What she was feeling couldn't be discovered by him at any cost of he would find a chance to weaken her power. She moved her lips forming a smile.
"Samrat, I couldn't let anything happen to you, afterall your life matters to me since I love my life more" she said using a mocking tone.
Manik raised an eyebrow hearing her words. It was clear that she have to depend on the antidote he was providing her in time. If something happens to him then she was also tied to it.
"You are such an example of ideal wife" Manik said, "your husband was dying yet you were worried about your life?"
"I couldn't help it, afterall I am too selfish for myself" Nandini replied.
"Samrat are you fine?" Pallav walked towards them and asked. His eyes fell on the wounded arm and also saw the small cloth tied on it.
"It's just a scratch" Manik replied, "what about the tigers?"
"It's dead, do you want to bring them along?"
"Since they are dead then make a good use of it"
Pallav nodded and immediately left to fulfill the order. At this moment Ujjay, Devayu and Trived also appeared in the scene.
"What happening? Is anyone injured?" Ujjay asked anxiously. The roaring sound echoed in the air for long which increases his anxiousness.
Nandini turned around to look at them, "Samrat is injured because of the sudden attack"
"What?Samrat is injured?" Ujjay was shocked so does Trived and Devayu. They hurriedly get down from the horses and walked towards Manik.
"Is the wound serious?" Trived asked and checked Manik's bleeding arm.
"I am fine Mamashree" Manik smiled, "it's just little scratch" he shook his head.
"It's not good to let the wound go deep. We should have back so that the imperial Vaidya can take care of it" Ujjay suggested.
"Yes, even if the scratch is minor, you shouldn't take it lightly. Of course the nails of the wild tigers are always toxic. You need to get treatment to check if there's any poison or not in the wounds" Devayu said before Manik could reply.
"Since Nanashree has said so then let's head back" Manin agreed helplessly.
Soon the hunting was paused and the royal carriages headed back to the palace. Unknown to this matter in the palace the ladies were talking and enjoying their time.
"I didn't knew that Rajkunwari Chandra knows to play 4 different instruments" Vrinda said looked astonished.
"Chandra was always interested in music. Most of the time she spends in learning the instruments" Shreelata felt proud as she talk about her daughter's talents.
"Yes, if there's a chance I would want to hear her play a song" Sulohita replied.
"Rajrani, if you want then I can play a song for you" Chandra said instantly. Since Vrinda had taken the Samragyi position Sulohita was often referred as Rajrani title.
"Yes, what about after meal in the afternoon?" Shreelata nodded, "it would be such a harmonious to enjoy a music"
"It's settled then" Vrinda nodded in excitement.
"Maharani, Maharaj has returned" Amra, Shreelata's sevika ran inside the room informing.
"They are back? So soon? They had just left few hours ago" Shreelata frowned.
"It said that Samrat of Gangghor was injured in the hunting" Amra replied.
"What Manik is injured?" Vrinda and Sulohita got up from the chair in shock. Chandra gasped with a horrifying expression.
