The cat glared at Kushumv as it hissed angrily showing canines. It stood infront of Nandini blocking the way while positioned to attack. Kushumv who was on the floor looked at the cat with wide eyes. He was so surprised that he even forgot he was still sitting on the floor for a longer time. Suddenly he shook his head thinking he has just seen an illusion.
A lynx?
Kushumv couldn't understand where did this animal suddenly jumped out. He turned to look at Manik, "what's all this? Since when you started to bring this wild animal in the palace? I never knew you had such habit"
"It's not mine" Manik replied curtly.
"Not yours?" Kushumv frowned then he pointed towards the cat on bed, "then how did it came here?"
"How would I know?" Manik shrugged. He didn't disclose anything and stood there with his infamous expressionless face. He seemed unbothered by the sudden appearance of the uninvited guest.
Kushumv got up from the floor and dusted his cloths. Today he was embarassed already. His nice posture suddenly get ruined by an animal. He just couldn't believe it. He eyed Nandini on bed and about to take a step when the cat hissed again making him stop at once.
"Lynx" Isha immediately came towards bed.
"How does this animal came here?" He couldn't help but ask.
"His name is Lynx and he isn't just an animal but a favourite one to our Samragyi" Isha replied with a little frown. She don't understand why he was asking that. It was just about a cat isn't it?
"What did you say? This is Samragyi's pet?" Kushumv pointed towards the cat then tried to adjust the fact. Did he heard right? A wild animal like this was raised as a pet? He looked at the cat again who was glaring at him with its sharp eyes. The biggest question was it was adjustable if it was a house cat but Lynx are wild and ferocious animal and it's rare to pet them normally.
Isha thought Kushumv was not clear so she added few more words of explanation, "yes, he was a still a kitten when Samragyi brought him home. Since then he was raised and cared by her all the time"
Kushumv turned his head to look at Manik, "you sure know how to pick someone don't you. Now I really appreciate your efforts and eyesight. Truly admirable you know"
Manik who found the underlying meaning just smirked at his direction. He himself didn't know about this revelation and was quite surprised that a ferocious Lynx was living under the same roof yet it didn't cause any trouble but stayed like an invisible one. The training must have been quite hard to pet the Lynx to this extent.
"Can you please take this cat away? I need to check on Samragyi" Kushumv said to Isha.
Isha nodded and about to grab Lynx who turned and hissed at her making her efforts to stop even before it start. She sighed then eyes Nandini's sleeping figure. What I am going to do now? Lynx was always a good boy and behaved mild around them but it sometimes goes beyond their control. Only Nandini can command him the way she want and the Lynx would do without showing any kind of ferociousness. At this moment the attacking position of the Lynx made it hard to have control over him. Since it was bigger than a normal cats controlling term was quite difficult.
"What happened?" Manik asked seeing her stop.
Isha turned towards Manik with her head low, "Samrat Lynx doesn't want to leave Prizzi. He must have senses the danger and is staying in protecting mood. If I try to use force it would attack me in no second"
"That-" Kushumv was about to say but stopped by Manik.
"Let's wait for a moment then" Manik eyed the Lynx. Lynx are different from normal cats which gives them the advantage that their attacks are also dangerous.
