Before the sun set in the West the royal carriages finally stopped infront of the entrance gate of Birlapur. Ujjay was already waiting for them to arrive. When the carriage door opened he stood infront of the gate to greet. Behind him his sevak and sevikas stood with flowers in their hand.
Just as Manik get down the carriage he was greeted by the shower of flower petals. The ground was covered by the petals and he could only step on them to walk forward. He looked towards the middle aged man in his royal attire smiling towards his direction.
"Pranaam Maharaj Ujjay" Manik said as he stood infront of Ujjay. Maharaj Ujjay always had a good relationship with his father. So according to that fact he would show respect to him. He was fifteen years old when he last saw him. But even after all these years he could recognise him well without any mistake.
Maharaj Ujjay looked at the young man and he couldn't help but feel proud. It has been years that he saw this young man. Even at that time he looked as promising as today.
He smiled at him, "Samrat, you still remember me?" He laughed a little, "I see you have really taken the features of your father. Though your achievements You really proved who's blood is running in your body. If Vikramjit is still here, he would have been proud of you"
"I am just trying to make peace, this was what Babashree wanted followed by Kakashree" Manik replied.
Ujjay nodded in agreement. He had stayed with Vikramjit in many occasions so he knew clearly what kind of mentality he possessed. Now his son has taken the place.
"I heard you will be coming to Birlapur so I couldn't wait and came to meet you" Ujjay said again.
"I am taking my Samragyi to Juirogaon to perform Puja. Besides my maternal family is also travelling with us" Manik replied as he watched the expression of Ujjay.
Ujjay was about to reply when he saw another two male figure get down the carriage. Ujjay looked at them in surprise. He knew that Samrat was travelling with family but he wasn't aware the family would be from Divyangarh.
Ujjay looked at him then towards Devayu and Trived in surprise "I wasn't expecting to meet the Samrat of Divyangarh here"
Trived smiled, "We came to Gangghor for a banquet and now it's time to return back. Since Manik is taking the journey too we came together"
"It's a really great pleasure to have you all here. Looks like my intention of coming here was fruitful. It has been such a long time since we can expect such meeting" Ujjay felt delighted. "Since all of you are here in Birlapur I insist you to visit Varhamgarh with me"
They were talking when Sulohita get down the carriage with the help of her sevikas. She saw the scene and joined it. Ujjay greeted Sulohita with respect.
Nandini also get down the carriage following the lead and saw the lively scene. She frowned slightly. Besides her Vrinda smiled knowingly and whispered, "didn't I say, the Maharaj Ujjay couldn't stay still at the news"
A sudden reminder hit hear. She and Vrinda had the chat about encountering the royals of Varhamgarh. She looked at the Middle aged man who was happily talking with others. So he is the Maharaj of Varhamgarh? It seems he came to receive them at the gate.
"Nandini come here" Sulohita's voice broken her thoughts. Sulohita gestured her to come closer. Nandini nodded and walked towards her. When Nandini stood beside her Sulohita was about to open her mouth when another voice interrupted her.
"Maharaj this is my Samragyi" Manik said before Sulohita could say anything. She looked at her grandson then smiled a little. On the other hand Ujjay looked at the young woman. Suddenly his face twisted a little. But he quickly covered the displeasure with a smile.
