Late afternoon....
"Have a safe journey" Kashmira hugged Nandini as she said. Only Kashmira was present to send them off. "There are few gifts I have prepared for your family. Remember to take them out when you reach home"
"Buashree, there's really no need for that" Nandini protested.
"What are you saying? It's a ritual. Since we never had the official meeting till now, it's important to show respect and care. Besides you are going home after marriage for the first time. How can you leave empty handed? What would they think about us? We have to prepare gifts"
Nandini knew she couldn't argue at all so she just showed her agreement with a nod. Seeing her being obedient Kashmira smiled and turned towards Manik who just arrived with Chandrakant.
"And Manik take care of her well. Remember it's your responsibility. There shouldn't be any complaint about it. You maybe Samrat but there's also another role of you to play" Kashmira warned slightly.
"Yes, don't worry Buashree, I understand" Manik nodded. "it's getting late, we should leave now"
"Chandrakant are you going along?" Kashmira asked when she saw Chandrakant also moved towards the horses.
"Yes, I am accompanying them" Chandrakant nodded.
Kashmira sighed,"ah! All of you now leaving together" she shook her head. "Anyways, have a safe journey and return back soon"
"Don't worry Buashree" Nandini hold her hand, "I have already arranged everything so you can rest well. You don't have to burden your thoughts about ShtriMahal too" she assured.
"I believe you" Kashmira nodded.
"Let's leave" Manik said and Nandini smiled at Kashmira before walking towards the carriage and getting inside followed by Manik. Chandrakant didn't take the carriage but he ride the horse instead. There are few more carriages are arranged to carry the necessary things.
Kashmira watched them leaving. She stood there until the carriages crossed the palace gate then she returned back.
In the ShtriMahal....
"They left?" Maya asked her sevika. She was anxiously pacing around waiting for the news.
Dyuti just walked inside after watching the carriages leaving the gate. "Yes Kunwari, they just left the palace gate. I have seen it with my own eyes"
Maya sighed, "it's good that she left. Because of her influence I couldn't take a peaceful breath"
"Kunwari what are you planning to do?" Dyuti asked.
"I couldn't think of anything well. I think I need to ask Baba for some suggestions. Dyuti prepare for the leave"
"But Kunwari, can we really leave the palace? Last time it was—"
"Samragyi is not here. Besides there's also no news of her appointing anyone to replace her for ShtriMahal in her absence which means ShtriMahal is free from the boundary" Maya smiled. "Now prepare for our leave. I need to go home soon"
Dyuti quickly nodded and hurriedly left to arrange. But when she was about to go out she saw few sevikas guarding the door of the Kunwari Mahal. She couldn't help but frown at the sight. She tried to walk past them but stopped by the sevikas.
"You can't leave the mahal. Please return back" one of the sevikas gaurding the door said blocking her path.
"I have an urgent matter to complete. Let me leave for a while, I will be quick to return" Dyuti replied. She has seen many sevikas working in the ShtriMahal but she wasn't aware of the sevikas guarding the door today. She has never seen them before.
