Samragyi Mahal.... midnight...

"I never thought this kind of method would be used. Now I could find the conclusion. The matter of poisoning is something suspicious from the start because since the poison was use directly it was impossible for the person who used it not get affected by itself. But seeing  this thing everything is cleared now" Kushumv said slightly nodding his head. He had spread the things on a container and examined it carefully.

"It's a lucky that you finally could answer something valuable" Manik replied to him.

Kushumv turned towards him with a glare. Is he really mocking him? That too infront of his wife? This man is too arrogant. He is not leaving a chance to disgrace his reputation. He forced a tight smile before replying, "answering to Samrat, I am a vaidya, not a almighty who would have all the answers"

Nandini looked between them then suddenly had the urge to roll her eyes. They are arguing like a young kids. If others see this two well grown men arguing like this they would certainly forget the position this two holds in the society. They are worse then those neighbour ladies who engage in insulting eachother to for the satisfaction of their own egos.

"Yet you are lucky to still have the chance to be here" Manik retorted back without any experience. On the other hand Kushumv was so angry that he felt like rushing towards this man and scold him pointing his finger at him. For a moment he really wanted to forget that this man infront of him is the ruler of the nation. He wanted to say something when Nandini interrupted them.

"Samrat the court of justice is in waiting"

That simple phrase has changed the behaviour of the two men in the room.

Kushumv cleared his throat looking slightly embarassed, "yes, well there's this point" he nodded then continued his words further, "this thing..." He pointed towards the thing on the table, "is the reason why the other party didn't get affected by the poison and closed the matter perfectly"

"Is this a real skin?" Nandini asked.

"It's an alternative, probably taken from an animal"  Kushumv replied.

"Interesting" Manik smiled, "now my people are becoming more courageous. Looks like I have given freedom more than they deserve" his voice was laced with dark musk.

Kushumv looked at him. Freedom? Ever since Manik took the throne, the security rule was changed and become more strict. Now that he was talking about freedom, Kushumv can relate there will be another change because at this moment Manik looked really dangerous.

"This skin was made as a layer of protection not to have the direct contact with the poison. But I see it was torn in pieces so I believe it was shaped in hand size to cover the original skin while applying the poison on the victim" Kushumv said as he frowned slightly. To be honest the plan was made successfully. In this way no one would be able to find who actually did it. But unfortunately everything has its timing and limits. Just like this one. The discarded skin was the proof. The owner had to discard it after using since it could also very effective if it stayed longer in contact and that's where everything gone wrong. Though the timing maybe fine but it couldn't be done secretly since everything was monitored closely. This thought gave him surprise. He wasn't expecting Nandini to keep such a sharp eyes on the matter to discover this object.

"It's a well planned scheme" Nandini clenched her fist. Harming her then trying to escape? Does they think she is someone can be taken for granted? She would very like to show whom they are actually dealing with.

"But Samragyi where did you found this skin?" Kushumv couldn't hold his excitement and asked but the later one didn't reply immediately.

"It was found in Kunwaries backyard"
