No warning this time? I pulled a fast one on ya.

"Do you think there is a god?"

"I do."

"That was a rather quick answer."

"Well, I do believe in god."

"Are you saying that because of-"

"Our Creator? No..."

I looked down, thinking back to the face my Creator made when we met for the first time.

Even though he's different from what I remember, just being around him inspired fear in my heart that no other has achieved.

As if he can see into a realm beyond what the rest of us could see.

How else would he have been able to understand the things we would become experts in at such a young age?

"Only god can create someone like him. That's why I believe in god."

...

Ayanokoji POV:

It seems that Horikita has finally made a move to help Sudo recover.

He's been too quiet lately, not even prodding her for information on how we're dealing with this exam.

Even in the sports he's practicing in for the exam, some of the others in the class have pointed out how he doesn't seem as fiery as usual.

But still, to think this is what she thought up.

With me was Kushida, the two of us up on the watching stands overlooking the main gymnasium.

It was late into the day, at the time when the only people still on the school grounds are those closing up their after-school clubs.

As expected, none of the classes want to spend their time practicing for events in such open spaces.

"Suzune said she was going to help Sudo-kun out of his rut, right? So what are we doing here?"

Kushida said that almost in a whine.

She was leaning against me as well, but I've long learned not to think about anything unnecessary during this time, she's venting after all.

It'd be a shame to interrupt her during a time where she is able to put down her guard.

"I'm not sure, do you think she's going to do a confession?"

She let out a giggle, lifting a hand to lightly punch my chest.

"Haha, that's not possible."

The door to the gymnasium opened before we could get another word in, Horikita walking in with Sudo not far behind her.

She walked towards the centre of the gymnasium before turning around.

Sudo seemed to have a somewhat red face, clearly expecting a confession as well.

Is it?

He hasn't noticed us yet, but it's not like we're in the front of the stands, we're about halfway up.

"Actually, I have a confession to make."

Sudo gulped, he seemed to stiffen up at her words.

Horikita brought a hand up to her chest.

"No way." Kushida mumbled.

"Is she really confessing?"

It seems like it, but is it her feelings or something else?
