A Queen's Affection

The Young Wolf roused from slumber to the sensations of small kisses being pressed all across her neck.

In her half asleep state, she allowed a small smile to break out across her face as she hummed in content, leaning herself back further into her girlfriend's arms. Sometime during the night they must have switched positions because Mara was once again spooning her with their legs tangled under her sheets and the monarch's arms firmly woven around her waist.

"Good morning My Wolf." Mara murmured between kisses, a smile across her own face as she heard the Titan's sleepy giggles at her actions.

"Morning." The Young Wolf whispered softly, her eyes still firmly closed as she kept her face stuffed into her pillow and allowed her girlfriend to lay as many kisses as she pleased across her neck.

After another moment of silence where the only noise in the room was their calm breathing and the sound of lips meeting skin, Mara gently turned the guardian's head just enough so she could lean forward and press a kiss to her lips.

With her eyes still closed but a smile across her face, the Young Wolf responded with just as much fervor as the Queen. After a few seconds the monarch pulled away and that was when the Lightbearer opened her eyes for the first time.

Blinking slowly to allow her eyes to adjust to the light in her room, the first sight she got was Mara and her pearly white hair tousled up with a few strands tangled up towards the top of her head. She was looking down at her with soft eyes and a gentle smile, her sleep shirt all scrunched up and even though Mara was taller than her, the purple shirt still pooled over her frame.

Sometime during the night though, the Queen must have brushed up against the shirt, or more accurately she had probably brush up against her girlfriend because her right shoulder was exposed and the shirt was pushed down her arm.

Overall the epitome of beauty was hovering above the Young Wolf and the Titan swore she saw stars.

Seeing the lovesick look across her girlfriend's face as she opened her eyes made butterflies flutter around in Mara's stomach and made the awoken woman smile down at the Titan.

This is what she wanted above all else, to make her girlfriend smile, to make her feel wanted and cared for and above all else...

Loved...

She would spend the rest of her days to ensure the woman next to her knew that, would spend an eternity if need be to make the Titan as happy as she could be.

Plus, she was oh so adorable when she just woke up, how could anyone not fall for her when they saw her sleepy morning gaze full of affection?

And, lucky for Mara she was all hers.

The Queen leaned down to press her forehead against the Titan's and hummed in contentment, trying to hide her smile as she spoke barley above a whisper, "Happy Birthday O'Beloved mine." She said.

The Young Wolf tensed in shock at her words though and opened her eyes just a tad bit wider to stare at her girlfriend as she turned in her embrace so both of their fronts were facing one another, "How did you..."

"Do you truly believe that someone like me wouldn't figure out when the person I care most about in this world was brought back to live amongst us again?" Mara asked with a raised eyebrow, staring at the Titan with amusement in her gaze.

The Young Wolf sighed tiredly and brought her hand up to rub at her sleep crusted eyes, "It was Ghost, wasn't it?"

Mara smirked, "He told me the exact date, but even then I had a rough estimate...After all, I do remember a certain new light knocking on my door a few short days after her revival."
