Epilogue

The Young Wolf hummed, snuggling down into her fiancée's chest as she started to wake up, making the Queen sigh in her sleep and tighten her grip she had around the Titan's waist.

The guardian yawned, slowly blinking her eyes open as the light from outside the palace window shined into their bedroom making her sigh under her breath.

Monday...

God she hated Mondays.

Why couldn't they have come back on a Friday?

Now Mara had to sort out her queenly duties, they had a coalition meeting this morning and Bella had to head to school.

Everything back to normal.

At least school would be ending in a week, she was definitely looking forward to having Isabella around the palace all summer long without having to wake up early to drag her daughter to the city.

But until next week, well...

"Fucking Mondays." She grumbled out loud, burrowing her face into Mara's bra clad breasts trying to hide away from the world.

A sudden huff from the Awoken below her though made the Guardian smile, "Morning beautiful." She whispered to the Queen, drawing a small smile from Mara's lips.

"Morning love." The monarch answered back without missing a beat, but she didn't open her eyes, she merely tightened her grip around her lover's waist, "Can we stay here? In bed all day? I'm quite comfortable." She said, making the Titan giggle softly under her breath.

"I wish." She said regretfully, "But we have to take Bella to school before heading to the Coalition meeting at the HELM."

Mara clicked her tongue in annoyance, "What time do we have to be there?" She asked.

"Meeting starts at nine, Bella has to be at school by 8:40 which means we have to get up, get ready, feed her and make sure she's all ready before eight."

"What time is it now?"

"...Seven."

Mara hummed, "Which means we get five more minutes of cuddling before needing to get up." She said, pushing her nose into the crook of the Titan's neck and drawing a small giggle from the woman. "Starting now."

The Young Wolf snorted but leaned into the Queen's touch all the same, "Who knew Mara Sov was such a cuddle bug." She teased.

"I get it from my fiancée." The Awoken joked back, only causing the guardian to giggle even more.

The couple spent the next few minutes holding one another, simply basking in the warmth and love they could feel radiating from one another but it was around the five minute mark when they both heard sounds coming from the kitchenette.

The Young Wolf sighed, "Bella's up, probably trying to get something to eat. I'll go cook something for us while you get ready, and then we can switch." She said, reluctantly pulling away from her fiancée and sitting up on their bed rubbing the sleep from her eyes with Mara doing the same a moment after.

"Sounds good to me love." She said, pressing a small kiss to the side of the Titan's head before swinging the blanket off of them both and throwing her bare legs over the mattress to get up and walk towards their dresser.

The Young Wolf yawned but stayed in the bed, not moving an inch until her fiancée was out of sight and in the bathroom.

She couldn't help it, Mara was just too damn pretty not to watch.

How she moved effortlessly and graceful across the room, with a flawless posture and even though she was half naked with only her undergarments to keep her covered she still held herself with the utmost dignity, making the Titan's heart stutter in her chest.
